Dean bangs his hand against the door to the houseboat, waiting impatiently for the prophet to answer the door. Mary rests against my hip as the guys stand in front of me. I lift my fist to my mouth, coughing into it due to the tickle in my throat. Pulling my hand back, I see the blood speckled on my light skin. Dean glances back at me and frowns, noticing the blood on my hand.
He found out a week or so ago after spotting a blood stained tissue in the trash. But he didn't say anything to me right away, due to a hunt that he was going on. They were investigating a case where people were dying due to their eyes being burnt out and organs liquified. When they arrived, they discovered the people were being possessed by demons and that Castiel was the one doing it.
According to the angel, he was searching for the other half of the demon tablet. But he claimed discovered that the demons were searching for a parchment that could help translate the tablet without help from a prophet in Lucifer's crypts. But it was revealed that what he was actually searching for was the angel tablet. During their hunt, they found Meg who had been captured back when we were fighting Dick Roman. She took them to the correct crypt where they found the tablet.
This was when it was revealed that Castiel was under the mind control of an angel named Naomi, who brainwashed Cas to try and kill Dean. It came close, but he over threw her control and disappeared with the angel tablet. Meg was killed in the battle, having fought off Crowley to allow Sam and Dean to live. Even though my hatred for her has lessened slightly due to her involvement with us, a large part of me was relieved to hear she had died. Nothing in the world could make me forget what she did to me, to Harlow.
But something was also revealed to Dean while on that hunt, something about me. According to Castiel, I was damaged from the first trial so badly that even he can't heal me. This shook Dean to his core and when they came back, he confronted me about the blood. He's urged me to stop pretending with him and to be honest. That even though he can't carry the burden of these trials, he can carry me.
"Kevin? Open up!" Dean calls out, continuing to hit against the door, "Kevin!"
The door opens up, Kevin standing there with a frypan ready to use as a weapon. My hand reaches up and cradles Mary's head as I cower away, disturbed by the manic look in his eye. He looks worse for wear, stubble lining his chin and dark circles under his eyes.
"Whoa, whoa, geez. What's going on? What's with the SOS?" Dean asks, stepping into the houseboat as Kevin moves aside.
Sam and I follow after him as Kevin speaks, sounding distressed, "It's him."
"It's who?" Sam asks as we walk into the main room of the boat.
"Crowley." Kevin states.
I raise my eyebrow as I look at the young boy, "What about him?"
"He's in my head." He says, his eyes wild.
"He's in your head." Sam reapeats, giving him an unbelieving look.
"Do you know what that means?" Kevin hisses and Dean quips, "It means we need to up your anxiety meds. Kevin, you're dreaming. Look, if Crowley knew where you were, he'd do a hell of a lot more than mess with your head."
"Hey, where's Garth?" Sam asks, looking around.
"On a case. Or the dentist." He guesses with a shrug, "I don't know, I haven't heard from him."
