I woke from my nightmare with a gasp. my heart was racing with the adrenaline I just felt. I took deep breaths trying to comfort myself by repeating over in my head its just a dream its just a dream.
the horrors that I conjured up slowly started to fade. I threw my head back down on the pillow, grabbing my phone. the light stunned me for a minute before revealing 9 new messages from my best friend rylee. shes probably the only person that I would alow to bother me in the middle of the night without going off on. I checked her endless messages.
marry I cant sleep
I know its the middle of the night but.. I skipped the rest of the message.
I had a nightmare again.. like the one from a week ago
the messages continued on somewhat like that. and her nightmares, which were similar to mine, her mom put her into therapy over them. They're some of the most violent dreams a teenage girl could have- I shook the thought out of my mind. I dont want to fall back into monstrous fantasy.
my phone buzzed again, but this time the letters quickly caught my attention.
marry im serious someone is in my house.
