On Tuesday afternoon we said goodbye to Margaret as she boarded the plane and headed home.

Before we went back home, we went grocery shopping. Well I did while he sat in the car. Thanksgiving was Thursday and even though my parents weren't around I still wanted to make a meal.

I woke up Wednesday morning to my alarm going off. I reached over and shut it off. I tried getting out of bed, but Keir had a tight hold on me.

"No. No school today." He said tiredly, pulling me closer to him. I laughed. "I'm calling in sick and we're having a lazy day."

"One of us has to go. You know that."

"Screw the rules. I wanna stay home with my woman." He nestled his head into my neck.

"You wanna get caught? You'll lose your job."

"I'll become a rock star." He began placing gentle kisses on my neck. I giggled and began squirming. Eventually I got out of his hold and rolled out of bed. "You're no fair." He pouted.

"Mhm, sure." I winked, walking over to the dresser and pulling out clothes.

"Pick out my outfit, please?" He asked as he sat up in the bed.

"Why?"

"Because I like it when you do. I enjoy wearing suits that you pick out."

"You are a strange one." I smiled but did as he asked.

"I'm your strange one."

I nodded my head and left the room so I could get in a quick shower before school.

I was fifteen minutes late for school because Keir insisted that school wasn't as important today as kissing was. I would have loved to have stayed home with him, but I needed to go to school. I couldn't risk missing a day just to stay home with my fiancé. It was my senior year, and even though I had no friends, I wanted to make the best out of this year.

I grabbed a late slip from the office and headed to my class. I hoped Keir would show up for his classes.

The day seemed to drag on. It felt so much like a Monday it wasn't even funny.

I walked into the English classroom and spotted the familiar leather jacket on the back of the teachers chair. I smiled. He was here. I took my seat as the class began to fill up. After the second bell rang, Keir entered the room, letting the door shut behind him.

Everyone turned their attention to him. He held up a book and asked. "Has anyone read this?" No one answered. "I'll take that as a no." He smirked. "This book should take you a week to read. Well it should take you a very days, but with the holiday coming I'm giving you a week."

"What it about?" Someone asked.

"It's great that you asked that." He smiled. "First let me tell you a little story." He walked in front of his desk and leaned up on it a little. "You see I was into a family that firmly believes that a woman's place is at home."

"So unfair." A girl in the back said.

"How sexist." Said another.

Keir continued. "My father worked from sun up to sun down. While my mother cooked, cleaned and took care of us kids. That's the way it was. My mother never had a career. Us kids were her career. Looking back I'm thankful that she was home." He paused for a second. "Here in the US, it seems that both parents are expected to have careers and they are to pay someone else to look after their kids. Much like my parents I believe a woman should be home."

"Sexist." Someone coughed.

"No, not really." He said. "I believe this simply because I will not pay someone else to watch my kid or kids. Once I'm married, my wife will stay home and take care of everything that needs to be done there. And when we have children, she will be home with them." My heart fluttered at the thought of us having kids someday.

"What does she have to say about that?" One of the guys in the front row asked.

Keir looked at me for a second before he answered. "She's fine with it."

"What's this have to do with the book?" Another asked.

"You will be reading about another culture." He smiled. "As an assignment, I want you to compare their ways with how you live today. And this is a big grade since it ties in with your history class as well." He smirked as the class groaned.
