Keir was in his office no doubt grading papers or getting lesson plans ready for the week ahead. I sat alone in the living room flipping through a book I had read many times.

"What will you do today, love?" Keir asked. I looked away from the book, closed it and saw him standing in the doorway. I shrugged. "Wanna come?"

"No, no." I shook my head. "I'll find something to do. Maybe I'll see what Brad's up to." His eyes narrowed. He liked Brad but Chad was his brother, and Keir didn't trust Chad. "Or I'll call Gemma."

"Call Gemma." He smiled and turned around. "I'm going to go grab my gear. Let him in when he comes."

"Nah. I'm gonna let him wait outside." I replied sarcastically making him chuckle as he walked into the guest room.

I sat back and flipped open the book again and began reading. A knock on the door made me jump out of surprise. I put the book down and stood up. They knocked again.

"Babe!" Keir yelled from the room. "Don't keep him out there." He laughed.

"I said I would." I walked to the door and threw it open quickly.

"Dude, I almost knocked on your face." Lance laughed.

I rolled my eyes. "Get in here."

"Miss me?" He asked walking in and wrapping his arms around me in a hug.

"Yeah, yeah. Sure." I waved him off and walked into the living room.

"Where is he?" He asked looking around. I pointed down the hall. "Does he know how to play?"

"Yes." Keir said walking into the room with a gym bag in his hand. "I do. Been playing since I could walk." He chuckled.

"Good. I didn't want to teach you."

"I'll be the one doing the teaching." Keir smirked and Lance snorted.

"Come on, before the rink fills up. I need to get some practice in before tryouts start."

Keir nodded his head and dropped his gym bag down on the floor. He walked over to where I sat on the couch. He pulled my arms and pulled me up off the couch. With me standing he pulled me to him in a hug. I hugged back instantly. He pulled away, but just enough to lean back in and capture my lips with his soft ones. But it wasn't a long kiss and soon he pulled away smiling, making me smile. "Have a good day, love. Let me know if you go out, okay?" I nodded. "I love you."

"I love you too." I responded.

"Awe!" Lance cooed.

Keir walked over to his bag and picked it up, slinging it over his shoulder. He started walking with Lance out of the room. I quickly ran up behind him and slapped his butt. "Have fun!" I smiled as he smirked.

"A few more months and I get my payback."

"What are you keeping score?" I laughed.

"Of course. You're in for it." He winked.

I sighed and closed the door behind them. I walked back into the family room and grabbed my phone off the charger. I sent Gemma a text, asking her what she was doing today. I sat back down on the couch and waited for her to respond.

I stood outside and waited. Luckily it was a nice day. The ground was covered in a few inches of snow, but the weather today was spring like. I couldn't wait for winter to be over.
