All That Matters

Chapter 1

Hey my name is Jaiden and I'm 12 years old. I live in Canada with my parents and my older brother Drew who is 14. I have three bestfriend. Their names are Ryan Chaz, and Justin. It was the begging of summer and all of us where on the way to see Justin sing at Stratford Idol. Both he and I entered the competition but I was eliminated last weekend. Both Justin and I decided if one of us didn’t do it then we both wouldn't do it. Today was the finals and I had my fingers crossed Justin would win. Chaz, Ryan and I took a seat next to Justin's grandparents and mom. "Ready to see your boyfriend." Ryan said nudging me. "He's not my boyfriend." I said After a while they all went and they were about to announce the winner. Only three people were left.  "Ladies and Gentleman your 2007 Stratford idol is." At this point I closed my eyes and repeated Justin's name under my breath. "Miss Kristen Hawley." the announcer said. I looked up on stage and seen Justin with a smile on his face. After the competition was over we went backstage to look for Justin. "Sorry honey you didn’t win." Justin's mom said hugging him. "It’s alright mom, we'll get them next time he said. "Yea Ms. Mallette Justin and I will be famous one day you'll see." I said smiling. "Alight kids lets go get some ice cream." Bruce said. "Race you to the ice cream store." Chaz said "You're on" I said running out the door. The ice cream shop wasn’t that far so I had made it in a couple of minutes. I looked back and seen the guys still running. "Wow you guys are slow for being on the same soccer team as me." I said They laughed and stood there catching their breathe. We ordered our ice cream and ate it. After we finished Ms. Mallette walked all of us home. All of us lived down the street to each other. We first walked Ryan then Chaz and lastly me. "Bye Ms. Mallette see you guys tomorrow." "Bye honey see you tomorrow." "Later Bieber." I said to him "Later Santana." he said. I walked into my house and closed the door. "Mom I'm home" I yelled. "Okay honey." she yelled back from the kitchen. I ran up to my room and watched some TV before going to sleep.

-Next Morning-

I got up as usual and served myself cereal. I quickly ate and walked back upstairs. I took a shower and changed. When I was done I heard a knock on the front door. I heard my mom open it and knew who was at the door. "Jaiden Justin's here." she said. I ran downstairs. "Hey Bieber." I smiled "Can I talk to you?" he said "Yea sure." "Mom, I'll be back later." I said. My parents loved Chaz Ryan and Justin so as long as I was with them they didn’t care where I was. Justin and I walked to the park. We ran to the swings and started swinging. "So what's up?" I asked "Jaiden I'm leaving tomorrow." "Where to?" "Atlanta." "What's in Atlanta?" "Some guy named Scooter called my mom and wants to meet me." "To sign you?" "I don’t know he just said he wanted to meet me so I can meet some people." "Justin that's great!" I said stopping the swing. "I know but we promised we would become famous together." Justin said stopping his swing as well "Justin this is an opportunity you can't pass go to Atlanta don't worry about me I'll be fine my time will come." I said smiling. "This is why you're my bestfriend." he said getting off the swing and hugging me. "Eww get a room love birds." We heard. Justin pulled away and turned red. I looked over to see Chaz and Ryan. "What's up knuckleheads." I said punching their shoulders. "Justin's mom told us you were here." Ryan said "Did Justin tell you guys he's leaving?" I said "His mom told us before we came. Is it true man?" Chaz said "Yea it's true I leave tomorrow to Atlanta." he said "In that case lets go to our place together one last time." I said Our place was this lake where no one knew about. We found it when we were walking home one day. It had a water fall and we all went there after a long day of soccer practice or school. We ran to the lake and we sat down on the ground. We waited till we caught our breathe. I got up and walked to the tree where I kept my extra clothes to get in the water. I changed behind the tree and waited for the guys to change. Once they were done we all ran inside together. We swam for hours until the sun started setting. We changed back to our clothes and started walking home. "Justin what time are you leaving?" Chaz asked "We leave my grandparents' house at 12." "Alright we'll be there before you leave" Ryan and Chaz said walking to their house. Justin and I walked to my house. We stood on my porch for a while. "Jaiden there is something I have to tell you before I leave." Justin said "What is it?" "Jaiden I.." "Oh hey Justin" My mom said opening the door. "Hi Ms. Santana." Justin said "You're mom called me and told me you guys are leaving tomorrow?" "Yea we are." "I'll take Jaiden over to your grandparents house tomorrow so she could say goodbye alright." "Thanks Ms. Santana. See you tomorrow Jaiden." he said I waved goodbye and walked inside. I ran upstairs to my room and plopped down on the bed. Justin was about to say what I always wanted to say to him. I like you. But of course my mom had to ruin everything. I got under the blanket and turned off my lights. I tossed and turned until I got comfortable and knocked out.
