So Natsu and I went to a furniture store and started looking at beds.
"What size should we get?" He asked.
"Probably a Queen size. You take up a lot of space." I nodded to myself.
"Yeah, only because you only sleep in fetal position, all curled up." Natsu rolled his eyes.
"It's fucking comfy! Fuck you!" I said and pushed him, then we started looking at mattresses.
"Why are there so many different types? Does it matter?" He groaned.
"Yes, it matters! Do I need to explain the science of it to you?" I gasped.
"There's science?" He asked, looking shocked.
"Yes. Being bipedal isn't exactly great for our spines, they're meant to be bent over, but posture is a thing we're obsessed with, even though it causes back pain. Well, since we sleep lying down, that outs pressure on our spines, so we need the right kind of mattress that will help ease the tension on our spines while we sleep. For me, it doesn't really matter, but I do prefer a softer bed, but not too soft. I hate firm beds, though. They kill my back." I sighed.
"Oh. I didn't know that." He said and I reached up to tussle his hair.
"That's because you're an idiot." I smiled and turned to test out the softness of each Queen size matress they had available.
A worker soon came to help us, and we soon had a frame, mattress, pillows, covers, and blankets. I carried the pillows and shit to cover us while Natsu got the frame and mattress.
We got back home and set it up, which I had to show Natsu how to do, or he would've broken it. I ended up teaching him how to put sheets and covers on the bed, which he wasn't used to since he never slept with a blanket, thanks to him being so warm all the time.
Once we were finished, we fell on the bed, already tired and somewhat breathless.
"That... was a lot of work." Natsu breathed, and I just nodded and turned over onto my side, hoping to get some of his warmth. I closed my eyes and focused on trying to rest.
"I always used to do this after my mom helped me make my bed when I was younger." I sighed, my head on his shoulder. He, thankfully, didn't seem to mind.
"Where's your mom?" Natsu asked, putting arm over me for warmth.
"I don't really know, actually." I admitted. "I just left one day to start my life, and I haven't heard from her since. Anyway. Let's get some sleep." I said, and Natsu pulled a blanket over us.
"Night, Baz." He hummed.
"Night, Natsu." I said and was out like a light.
