Oops (Gray x OC)

C.40

The next morning I woke up, had a minor headache as a hangover, and was totally in shock.

So for the next few days while we were here, I would go to sleep for a little bit, wake up thanks to my lucid, creepy nightmares, get a drink from Alex, then pass out again. And the whole cycle repeated itself.

Alex and I got to talking late at night sometimes, and he soon learned of my boy troubles with Gray.

"I don't know what to tell you, Baz. Boys are stupid." He sighed as he poured my shots one night.

So now it was sunset, and Erza said we had to go down to the casino to do a little investigating. We were also to keep our guards up in case someone tried to take us or if we saw someone getting taken.

So I was in a pretty little black dress and heels, and I looked pretty good if I said so myself. When we went down, I immediately went over to the bar where he was working.

""Hey, Baz. Finally gonna introduce me to your friends?" He smiled at me from behind the bar as I slid into a seat.

"Yep. Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Gray, and Happy. Guys, this is my friend Alex, he bartends here at night." I introduced them. We soon ordered drinks, and they walked off to go do their own thing as I hung around the bar, sipping the drinks Alex gave to me.

"Hey, I created this new thing. You wanna taste test it for me?" He asked, and I nodded.

"Sure, what the hell. I'll drink pretty much anything." I shrugged and he poured it into a little shot glass and mixed it with another liquor, and I shot it back, then promptly blacked out.

When I woke up, which was now becoming a habit of mine, I was not in the casino, but instead in someone's arms, being carried out of a burning building.

"What the fu-" I panicked a little.

"Are you okay? Are you hurt?" A voice said and I looked up and saw Gray was the one carrying me.

"Gray?!" I asked and my chest went tight as my stomach went crazy. "What the hell happened?" I asked.

"That Alex guy was with the people we're after. He gave you a drink and you passed out, and I saw him carry you away, so I got the others and we followed. Lucy got the others out, Natsu and Erza fought the bosses. We had a little trouble finding you, though. Are you hurt anywhere?" He asked and I put a hand on his chest to stable myself, and I noticed he didn't have a shirt on.

"Put me down, I'm gonna puke." I said and he set me down, and I immediately leaned over and vomited out everything in me. Gray held my hair and held me stable, and God was I thankful. Through the tears and vomit, I felt like falling on my face.

"Baz! Baz, are you alright?" I heard Natsu yell, and a new set of hands joined Gray's, which I knew were Natsu's.

He helped me calm down and soon wiped my face clean. He handed me a bottle and I eyed it.

"It's just water, I promise." He said and I shook my head, taking it to sip. Of course, how could I ever think that of him?

"Are you hurt? Did that bastard hurt you? Did he try to touch you?" Natsu said, and I just began crying. "Baz, did he?"

"I don't know. I only just woke up. Last thing I remember I was in the casino. He could've done anything, and I don't know!" I said and Natsu hugged me tightly.

"You're okay now. Your clothes don't look messed up, so it doesn't look like he did anything, but if he did, I can go back and kill him for you?" Natsu said and pulled back to smile at me and wipe my tears, and I let out a shaky laugh.

"You don't have to..." I shook my head.

"I promised mom I'd look out for you, didn't I? I'm gonna go burn him, and I'll be back in five minutes, okay?" He said and I sniffed.

"I don't want you getting hurt." I said.

"I already beat him up, he's unconscious." Erza said, smiling at me. "Five minutes, Natsu." She said and he took off, Happy flying him over.

"Hey, you alright? That must've been scary." Lucy came over and held my arm.

"I mean, I was asleep." I sighed, shrugging.

"We found out what you've been doing with Alex. He told us you would come down after you had nightmares. Said they made you look about half dead, like you'd seen a ghost." Lucy said and I looked down.

"Natsu's not happy. You promised him you'd come to him, Baz. Why didn't you?" She asked.

"I didn't want you to feel like I was taking him from you, Lucy." I admitted, covering my face with my hand. "When we left for that week and a half, he missed you so much, and I felt so guilty because I tried to get him to stay, and it just felt like I took him from you, from everybody."

"Baz." Lucy said and held my face to get me to look at her. "You're his family. There's no way you could take him from us. He chose you because he knows you won't abandon him like the others. You say he talks about me all the time, you haven't heard him talk about you, or your mom. He loves you, maybe not the same way he loves me or the rest of the guild, but he does love you and he would do anything for you. You've no reason to feel guilty, okay?" She said and I smiled while tearing up again.

"I swear, I did not cry this much until I joined this stupid guild." I huffed, wiping my eyes and Lucy laughed as she hugged me.

"I know how you feel. You'll get used to it." Lucy said and Natsu came back.

"What'd I miss? Is she crying again? Baz, who do I have to kill now?" Natsu came up and I just laughed as we walked back to the hotel and to go home.
