By the light of the moon
Lend me your quill
To write a word
To tell a vow
To prove a lie
That one could barely see,
That you are more than the light of the moon______________
Alex quickly entered the hotel lobby and went to the receptionist asking the room number.
"I apologize I can't provide you any information about our customer since Mr. Durand is our VIP guest," answered the receptionist politely.
"I am Alex Laurent. Did you ever hear about Laurent Company? Bruce Laurent? Did you? Mr. Durand is an investor in that company," asked Alex, leaning on the receptionist table.
"I know you are the son of Bruce Laurent, Sir. I have seen your pictures in business magazines but I still can't provide you any information about Mr. Durand. I apologize," the receptionist smiled, disappointingly.
"Fine, thanks." Alex left the receptionist table and walked to the big round marble table with a giant bouquet on it.
He stood there thinking back and forth. Alex looked around the hotel lobby and suddenly had an accidental catch to a man walking in the lobby from the front door.
"Dmmt, that's Paul!" Alex got a bit panicked and hid behind the pillar.
Alex followed Paul through his eyesight. People were busy making reservation in the receptionist table which made the ambience more crowded thus Paul didn't realize that Alex was watching him. Paul clicked the elevator button, waiting with two old couples and a young adult playing her phone. Alex waited for a couple of minutes and the elevator door was opened. Paul got in and the door was closed, Alex felt relieved because Paul didn't see him. When Alex was watching Paul getting in the elevator, suddenly somebody tapped his shoulder twice. He quickly turned around and it was Adrien.

"If he is meant to be with me, I believe he will come around and take me away with his horse just like those fairytales that I know it will never happen even once. And now I understand, what I feel toward Alex is real, not an illusion or even lust. But Paul,"
Suddenly the bedroom door was opened and Paul entered with smile. Lou quickly stopped writing and closed her journal. She was sitting on the white coach heading to the balcony.
"Good evening, sunshine," said Paul as he kissed her forehead.
Paul took a seat next to her and unbuttoned his shirt one by one, ended on the third button.
"It was a long day but I didn't find Alex today. Did you?" asked Paul as he put his right arm on the back of the coach.
Lou remained silent, staring at her journal. She quickly shook her head to refresh her mind and turned her head to Paul, "I did."
"Are you serious? Incredible! Why didn't you call me earlier?" asked Paul, looking excited.
"I'm sorry I felt sick, and I forgot to call you but Alex is fine. I found him in Giardino Valentino Bompiani, I had followed him from Sempione Park," Lou stopped as Paul interrupted by putting his right palm on her forehead.
"Oh God, your temperature! I need to call you doctor. Have you eaten?" asked Paul in panic. He quickly looked for his phone in his pants pocket.
"I haven't. I neither have a drink, can you get one please?" asked Lou weakly, looking like she was about to knock out.
Paul quickly brought Lou to bed. He tucked his right arm behind her head and his left arm behind her legs. He lifted her up and put her to bed.
"Oh God, I'm sorry, Lou. Please hang on with me," Paul quickly brought her a glass of water. He lifted her back carefully and handed the water to her mouth slowly.
Lou took a gulp and stopped. Paul put the glass on the table next to bed. His right arm was still lifting her back and Lou reached Paul's left arm.
"I'm sorry, Paul. I am really sorry for everything," said Lou out of the blue.
"What are you apologizing for?" Paul made a circle with his thumb on her head, trying to calm her down.
Lou couldn't say a word, she felt weaker than ever.
I can't do this anymore, Paul. I don't want to betray you. I don't want to lie with my heart but I don't want to hurt you. How to put those feelings into a sentence that you will accept, Paul?
She kept thinking that way in her subconscious. She had no idea what to say until she replied, "I want to go back to Paris tonight, Paul."

"What are you doing here, Laurent?" asked Adrien coldly.
Alex remained silent, he wanted to punch him but he couldn't. He only wanted to meet Lou before anything else. But mostly, Alex didn't want to make trouble in the hotel. He tried to calm himself down and tried to think with cold mind.
"I don't want to fight here, can we go outside?" offered Alex directly.
Alex walked out of the hotel lobby and Adrien followed behind. Alex stood behind his car and Adrien stopped. Adrien had never been that calm with Alex since the incident in Giardino Valentino Bompiani.
"Do you want to fight here?"
"No, Adrien. I just want to ask if she is fine?" Alex instantly replied, trying to stop the heat that might have climbed to Adrien's head.
Adrien sighed and pinched his forehead. He didn't reply right away. He walked back and forth without saying anything. Alex looked at him confusingly. Adrien kept walking back and forth until Alex had to ask him twice.
"Is she fine? Tell me!" urged Alex.
"She is not!" Adrien yelled at Alex and continued, "You know I'm in the state of guilt for God's sake. I can't keep doing this to her. I think she is too in love with you. I can see that from her eyes. I went to her bedroom and she cried a river. She looked completely messed up. She didn't verbally tell me that she loves you but all I know she never cried that hard for Paul before in front of me."
Alex remained silent as he suddenly felt shivers down his spine. The words that Adrien just said made him feel weaker. He felt guiltier than before. He never thought her feelings toward him was that deep. He had left her crying a river and being weak, he had left her stuck with a man who doesn't deserve her. Alex had nothing else to say but felt guilty. He had no idea what to do. He glanced at Adrien giving a look of what-should-I-do.
Adrien looked at his gaze, "I can't let her feeling this way. This is torturing me," Adrien walked closer to Alex, his eyes were on him, "I'm taking my words back. I don't care about the money, I don't care about the agreement. You should see her, you should stop Paul. I can't let her marry the psycho and obsessive Paul. Please save her,"
Alex didn't say a word but stared at him convincing that he was capable to stop Paul. Alex nodded and said firmly, "She has been the light of my life and I will never let anything turn my light off."
