"Alex is in Milan. We should go to see him tomorrow before the wedding." said Paul cheerfully.
Lou's eyes and mouth widened as if she was drowning in the deep ocean where the waters started to fill whole of her body. Adrien stared at her confusingly moving his mouth saying 'what happened?' quietly. Lou shook her head, still thinking what response she had to say.
"Lou, are you still there?" asked Paul carefully.
"Yes, I'm still here," Lou stuttered. "I'm sorry. I was surprised that he is now in Milan. I mean how did you know he is in Milan?"
Adrien heard Lou's statement and his mouth was wide opened, showing his neat white teeth saying 'WHAT?!'. Lou shrugged and tried to focus on Paul again.
"I sent someone to Arnold Arboretum, to the place where he met the girl to be exact. He said that he found a carving on the stem which was written about something from the book he is addicted to, The Tempest, right?"
"Yeah, right, The Tempest by William Shakespeare. And then?" asked Lou curiously.
"He analyzed it and the conclusion is, that carved stem tells he is in Milan. I believe he wrote that to get the girl find him in Milan. I don't know what motive he's trying to achieve by his disappearance," explained Paul in brief. "Anyway, we also could do another photo shoots during our investigation for our pre-wedding in Milan Cathedral and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. I've always dreamed of that place to be our wedding photo shoots. So, what do you think?"
Lou remained silent, thinking, "Nice."
"Just nice?" Paul sighed. "I thought you had something more spectacular to say. It also could be our early honeymoon."
"I'm sorry, I'm speechless, it's just too beautiful to happen but actually my friend, Adrien just arrived in Paris and what should I do with that?" Lou wondered.
"Oh! Adrien, the guy in café. You must have a lot of things to catch up with him and I should thank him for supporting you while you were in Massachusetts too. He is welcome to join us in our trip to Milan if he doesn't mind and neither do you." Paul responded warmly.
Adrien stared at Lou, watching her talking to Paul about him. Adrien rolled his eyes and took a seat on the bench nearby. As he waited for a couple of minutes, Lou hung up the phone and shrugged at Adrien.
"What was it?" asked Adrien, rolling his sleeves.
Lou took a seat next to Adrien and said, "Paul wants you to come to Milan with us in our trip to search for Alex."
"Oh, Lou. Please, don't drag me into your situation with Paul. I don't want to complicate your life." Adrien frowned.
"But I think Paul is right too. There's lot of things I need to catch up from you," Adrien stared at Lou, rolling his eyes, mocking. Lou rolled her eyes in response and continued, "Alright, I need you to be with me, Adrien. I need your support. I can't do this alone. You're the only person who knows about this situation. Mikaela doesn't even know about this. So, please, will you come?" persuaded Lou, sighing.
Adrien sighed then he nodded indicating he agreed to go to Milan. Lou's lips widened and turned into smile of happiness. Lou hugged Adrien warmly. He rubbed her back and said, "I wouldn't do this if it wasn't for my French teacher."

The color of the sky was like the gradient of dark blue that gradually turns into warm orange. The warm sunlight of dusk illuminated the whole skies of Milan as the landing gear touched down the runway of Milan–Malpensa Airport until it made the sound of the tremble that came out of nowhere but loud. Paul was next to Lou, packing up the small things and putting them back into his Fossil brown leather sling bag. As she turned her head to the right, she saw Adrien across her seat enjoying the view of Milan through the window next to him. Lou's head was like a plastic bag full of rocks, there were lot of burdens and another complicated thoughts of Alex twisted into a strong loop that hung by a thin pole in an abyss. Paul looked at Lou giving his sincere smile as his hand holding Lou's, "I had a dream."
Paul's smile turned into worry. Lou held his hand tighter, "What dream?"
"It was the scariest dream I have ever had in my whole life. I had no idea where we were but everything was white and there was only you and me, wrapped in a black shadow but separated. You were really far away from me but I knew it was you staring at me deeply emotionlessly. I pushed myself to run toward you but there was something made the runway longer somehow. I got tired and it felt like the faster I run, the longer the runway would become. Then I stopped," Paul remained silent, looking for another breath. "Somebody took you away from me. I believed it was a man but his face was blurry. He hugged you from behind and you cried, staring at me. I ran faster approaching you to pull you out of his hug but I still couldn't reach you. I stopped and I saw him leaning on your neck, breathing enjoying the smell of you. I wanted to punch him right in the face but I couldn't do anything. I was scared and I couldn't breathe. I was running out of air then I woke up. I was sweating and I quickly turned my head at you, you were still sleeping but I'm glad that you're still here with me."
Before Paul had ended his sentence, he quickly hugged Lou as if he was going to lose her. He hugged her tighter and Lou rubbed his back to calm him down. Paul breathed the smell of Lou's hair as he drowned his face on the curve of her neck, "Whatever holds you back, please stay with me, Lou. Don't leave me because it'd give me endless pain."
Lou closed her eyes, giving more space for Paul's dream into her complicated thoughts. Lou nodded, letting her tears started to stream from her left eye slowly, "Everything will be fine, Paul. It was just a dream."
