Your shining armor comes into the light
It was metaphor and rhymes
Lifting up your sword to save the night
It was a sacred pledge of a knight
I'm just a poor damsel trapped in fortress
Waiting for a knight to crush the distress

As she cried in tears, suddenly she felt a hand resting on her shoulder, "Lou, I'm sorry, are you okay?"

She quickly turned her head to the touch and looked at the owner of the hand, there she saw Alex was next to her. Lou got more drown in tears as she saw him. Alex looked at her in the eye and quickly wrapped her around his hug. He hugged her really tight as if he didn't want her to go away anymore. She rested her head on his chest and put her arms around his back. His hands stroked her hair as he kissed the top of her head.

"It's fine, I'm here," Alex tried to comfort Lou.

All she needed was hug and she got it from Alex. The man whom she had been thinking of eventually was there for her. Nevertheless, Lou was still in shock. She just dealt with the fact of Paul leaving her with sorrow and she didn't want to make Alex feel as a person to rely on, she wanted him to know how worth he is for her but she thought the time was not right. She just broke up with Paul.

Lou slowly pulled away and wiped her tears but Alex quickly handed his blue navy handkerchief to her. Her eyes were swollen and her nose was red, she was a total mess.

"Why are you crying here alone?" asked Alex as he moved his thumbs back and forth on her shoulder comforting her.

"This is so complicated, Alex," Lou almost cried again, but this time she pushed herself not to cry. "I am so sorry for putting you in danger because of me. I heard your conversation with Adrien in Giardino Valentino Bompiani. I hadn't left, I was still standing behind those trees when I eventually heard a fight between you and Adrien. I didn't realize that was Adrien at first sight but after I had heard your conversation with him, the man behind this all was Paul. He used Adrien to threaten you."

Lou then told him about her breakup with Paul. After she had told everything to Alex, she felt like she had just released weights from her thoughts.

"... and that's how it happened. If I were more thoughtful and clear with what I wanted, I wouldn't put you and Adrien in danger. It was my fault, it-"

Lou stopped as Alex put his fingers on his mouth, "Ssh.. Just stop blaming yourself for everything. You are not at fault. Things were very complicated and it had to be this way but it's over. You're safe now. Adrien helped me out and I finally figured things out. I am sorry too for being late to save you from him. I was just afraid that he would hurt you. All the things I said in Giardino Valentino Bompiani are lies, I love you, Lou. I have always loved you in the first place."

Alex slid his fingers to her cheeks and caressed them gently. Lou gave him a hopeful smile as she reached for his arms. He slowly slid his hands around her neck and carefully pulled her in. Lou slowly pulled his shirt as their noses were only a few inches away. The time felt really slow and everything was like in slow motion. His lips, those gorgeous lips, soft, warm and pliant were pressed upon hers, seeming to draw all the breath -- the very life itself -- out of her quivering body. It was her first kiss with Alex. His lips were warmer and softer than anything she could have imagined. It was polite and slow but passionate. They took a breath for a while and looked at each other, his eyes were beaming and they were very beautiful until she said, "I love you too. I always have."

The bright early morn sunshine lightened the spot with a big tree nearby in Arnold Arboretum as Lou took a seat on the grass and leaned on the trunk of the tree after sauntering round the park. She grabbed her journal out of her bag and started to write. As she pointed the pen on the blank page, she suddenly stopped. It took her for a while to rewind things that just happened to her. It had been five months, she hadn't heard anything about Paul. He left Milan and that was the last time she saw him. A cool breeze lifted her hair on the shoulders and ruffled the hem of her full skirt. She smiled as she breathed the cold air. Lou remembered the time when she eventually had the courage to speak to Paul that way. The days in Milan were very unpredictable. Nonetheless, things happened for a reason.

"I hope you have something nice to write in there," Alex grinned as he stood next to Lou holding up two cups of coffee.

His presence stopped Lou from her train of thoughts and she quickly turned her head up to Alex as he leaned down to give Lou a quick kiss.

"Here," Alex sat down as he handed her the coffee. Lou took the coffee and his right arm extended as Lou stepped into his arm, resting her head on his chest.

"Alex," said Lou and Alex only replied with an uhuh as he stroked her hair gently and put the strand of her hair into the back of her ear.

"Do you remember you once told me that you don't write about sorrows in your journal anymore?" Lou rolled over and rested her head on his lap as she reached his fingers and played it with hers.

Their fingers were playfully intertwined, Alex grinning. "I never forget every single thing I either said or did to you. Because you're all that matters to me,"

Lou smiled as she looked at his eyes. The cold breeze lifted his hair until she could see his bronze hair was dancing up and down. His eyes, gleaming and sparkling which put Lou at ease in that moment. She had never felt safer than before but with him, he was like her Patronus.

Lou lifted her head up as she pulled his shirt with her other hand, pulling him closer to gently kiss him. "I think I will do the same. I want to bury this journal here and leave all the pasts here to start a brand new page with you."

They dug the soil as the spade slapped the dirt noisily. Fortunately Alex had a shovel in his car's luggage. As the depth was enough for the journal to be buried, Alex turned her head to Lou. "This journal is a sacred witness of your life, are you sure about this?"

Lou only nodded then gave him a convincing smile. "No doubt, Alex. As long as I'm with you". She put her journal in the hole and started to bury it, Alex followed. As they finished burying to journal, Lou turned her head to Alex. "I'm hungry,"

"You just dug a hole and you're hungry already," Alex shook his head, laughing. "I know a good place to eat. Come on, follow me,"
