You believed it was him
Who could make you float across the sky
Whirling the universe relentlessly
Dancing to the sound of the falling stars on its constellation
And believing,
There's no other arrow who could mend the broken piece of yours.

Lou got out of her class and saw Alex leaning his back against the wall waiting for her. He seemed really tired since he always breathed heavily. Alex grinned at her as she walked towards him. They walked out of the hall on their way to the parking lot.

"Alex?" asked Lou as she stared at him. "Is everything okay?"

Alex nodded and glanced at Lou, "Nothing is to be worried about."

"I hope that's true," Lou smiled though she wasn't sure with his answer. "You may share everything to me. I'll listen,"

Alex couldn't stop staring at Lou from his peripheral vision as they walked side by side. Her eyes were sparkling when the sunlight flashed into her bright brown eyes. Her hand was only a few inches from his as Alex tried his best to avoid the temptation to hold her hand. She was very alluring though she didn't try.

"You said that you had something to talk about," Lou glanced at him as she pressed her lips and made a little smile.

"Oh," Alex tried to find the proper answer to hide his actual mission. "I just wanted to check if you're fine from yesterday's incident," Alex stopped and exhaled. "And if you're ready to talk to Paul."

'Lie number 2. The first one is telling Paul about the lecturer and this is the second one, I'll get an award for the next third lie.' said Alex in his subconscious.

"Did he ask you to do this?" asked Lou curiously.

"I'm voluntarily doing it because I care," Alex looked up to the sky trying to hide the truth. "I mean, I don't like a person that my friend loves is hurting."

Lou smiled then it slowly disappeared after Alex had said so. Alex escorted Lou to the passenger seat and he turned around the car then got in. As they had arrived at Paul's house, Alex knocked the door twice with Lou standing next to him. She held her left wrist and bit her lower lip nervously. Alex kept knocking but nobody opened the door. Paul's SUV was parked outside indicating that there must be somebody inside. Alex pushed the door handle and went inside.

"Paul?" Alex walked in with Lou following behind. Whenever Alex opened the door, he usually noticed the luxury chandelier illuminating the guest room with French style but it was dark, he almost saw nothing. Alex carefully walked straight to the living room where there was a low light came out from the pool in the backyard through the wide giant glass next to the piano. He went to the backyard and saw Paul was sitting on the corner of the pool staring at his phone. Paul was sliding the pictures of him with Lou. Alex stood behind him with both of his hands in the pocket while Lou was standing near the door which headed to the living room.

"Drowning in the memories won't help, will it?" asked Paul as he locked his phone and there was no light, only the moonlight.

"You knew it," Alex smirked.

"I apologize if I was rude to you this morning. I was out of control," Paul's voice softened. "I always get overreacted. And I realized that's what she's tired of. She's tired of me being rude then easily apologize then do the same mistake over and over again."

"At least you've tried to change. But there's one thing I should tell," Alex paused as he took a step forward. "If she gets back to you, don't disappoint her with the same mistake. Protect her, love her until your last breath, even until you couldn't find any other way out when you're stuck, until your last struggle and do it genuinely."

Alex turned his head to Lou near the door to the pool and saw her listening to their conversation. She heard what Alex said firmly and it made her more fragile than before. She had two guys in front of her which both had each of her heart. Lou knew that Paul still completely loved her but she was suddenly reminded of what Adrien said that she was still clueless about Alex, so she couldn't tell. She decided to face what firmly happened in front of her, she had to face Paul.

Lou walked approaching Alex and stood next to him. She took a deep breath as she glanced at Alex and gave him a sign by putting her hand to her chest indicating, 'Let me talk to him'. Alex nodded and he took a few steps back.

"– I still can't stop thinking about her since the last time we separated. The thought of her always haunts me every night. I'm just not ready to lose her, and I will never be," Paul sighed as he pinched the edge of his nose.

"Paul," Lou groaned as she walked closer to Paul who was still sitting on the corner of the pool.

Paul's eyes widened as he quickly turned his head to Lou since he recognized the owner of the voice too well. He stood up and Lou walked closer to him. Very close until Lou could smell his mint breath.

Paul grinned with tears almost streamed down, "You're here," he touched both of her cheeks with his hands slid down to her shoulder and reached her hands. "Since that day in Luxembourg, I found it really hard to live. I couldn't get out of my bed but picturing the good days with you. Only those memories that could make me breathing until now."

Lou was captivated by the touch of Paul. It had been a long time for her to finally felt his touch again. It was warm and gentle.

"Lou, I'm sorry for that tragedy in the pub. I know you hate me because of that. And I've tried my best to fix what I've messed up but you've faded away and I got tired of it, then I asked to see you in Luxembourg to test if you're still holding on to me or not if I leave but actually you let go of me. I was broken, Lou. Nobody could explain how I felt that moment. But Lou, there's one thing you should know. I never gave up on you, I never did." explained Paul as tears streamed down on his face. He couldn't hold it anymore. It was the first time for Lou to see tears coming out from his blue eyes.

Lou reached both of his wrists as his hands still caressed her cheeks. She tried not to cry and took a deep breath as she prepared for her first sentence before she blurt out.

"I know you still love me, I know you do and I still do," Paul started to smile after she had said so and he waited for the next thing Lou would say. "I don't want to lie to myself, your absence tortured me. A month after we broke up, I felt empty and my mind was full of regret for not being honest. I forced myself to get over you but I couldn't. Maybe it had to be this way, to know the value of someone's presence, to know how much I missed your presence."

Lou couldn't hold her tears any longer, it dropped like waterfalls. Paul wiped her tears with his thumb as he leaned closer to her face. He kissed her forehead and her eyelids when she closed her eyes then he said, "I love you, I always do".

Paul slid his hands to her shoulders then to her waist as he pulled her closer to his chest. He locked her in his hug as he wrapped her around in his arms and rubbed her back. Lou landed her head on his field chest where she could hear his heart beating really fast. Lou missed his smell really bad, it smelled passionately addicting. She put her hands around his back as she could feel he kissed her hair like he hadn't seen her for years. Lou slowly pulled herself away and tiptoed to his shoulder as she whispered to his ear, "I love you too".

Lou closed her eyes then glanced at the door. He wasn't there.
