Chapter 12:James

I was so excited to see James again. We had the craziest times. I put on a short flowery white dress with some fats since James was around the same height as me. James told me to look nice because he is taking me out for the day. I heard a knock on the door as I was finishing up straightening my hair. "One second" I said flying down the stairs. I opened the door thinking it was going to be James, but surprisingly it was Colton. "Hey sweetie I know your spending the day with James, but you forgot your hood at my house. "Thanks. How can I forget my awesome hood?" I kissed him lightly. I just got a text from James saying he will be there in 10 minutes. I looked up at Colton who was also examining my message. "Okay how do I look?" I said. I was a little nervous to see James. It's been almost a year since I have seen him. "You look a little to nice. I think you would look better in some sweats and this Colton's girl hood." he said hoping I would run upstairs and get changed into something less sexy and reveling. "Ha Ha very funny." "If you wear that he isn't going to keep his eyes off you and he might try and pull something and in that case I will get involved and have to punch him in the face." "Colton be good. I said nothing is going to happen. I love you to death but can you please leave so you don't scare him?" "I'm glad I scare him." "Please." "Fine leave your phone on in case I want to check up on you or if you need me. Call me as soon as you get home." "Yeah yeah." "I love you Mr.Rudloff" I said locking my hands around his neck. "I love you more Ms. Marie." "That's impossible." I kissed him one last time and he left. About 5 minutes after I heard another knock on the door. "Hailey!!" James said running in lifting me up and giving me a tight bear hug." "James I missed you so much!" "I missed you too. We have so much to catch up on. Let's get a move on." he said with a smirk on his face grabbing my hand and pulling me out the door to his Lamborghini. "I don't want to do anything that fancy" I said putting my seat belt on. "Oh Marie you never changed have you?" "Nope."

We arrived to a Diary Queen. James and I loved going there back in Miami. He ordered our blizzards, of course he knew my favorite, chocolate extreme, and we sat at the table in the back. We talked for which seemed like hours. "Wow you are the only person I can talk to for 3 hours straight without realizing. We both laughed. "I miss you so much back home." "I know I miss you too." "There is actually something I wanted to talk to you about" he said in a serious voice which was strange." "Okay what's up?" "Well I got my own place back home in Miami, and my parents already talked about it with yours and they said it's your decision. It's a three bedroom house with a wide living room and kitchen, and a spacey back yard where I installed a pool. What I'm trying to say is would you like to move back home and live with me?" I didn't know what to say. I missed back home, but I can't leave my friends and Colton. God knows how he would react if he found out I was thinking about going home. "James that's such a sweet offer, but I don't know. I have a boyfriend and new friends here." "Well don't decide anything right away. Think about it. I'm not leaving til next Wednesday." "Okay. I will let you know." "Come on" he said standing up. I was about to stand up, but then I realized something. "Oh shit." I forgot my phone after Colton specifically told me to bring it. "You okay?" James asked seeing the look on my face. "Yeah I just for got my cell phone and my boyfriend Colton said he was going to check up on me." "Oh well it's okay. You're safe with me. Come on Marie." The time I had with James was crazy. I missed it. At the end of the night he pulled in front of my house. He came around to the passenger side and opened the door for me. "Thanks for coming with me tonight. I had a lot of fun. "Yeah I did too." "Well just think about the offer and text me when you decide." "I will bye." I hugged him then he got in his car and drove away. 

When I went in my house. My family was already in bed and I went straight over to my phone which I left on the counter. 26 new messages. 10 miss calls. They were all from Colton. Just as I was about to text him back I heard a knock on the door. I was afraid to open it because I knew who it was. "Thank god you are okay. Where have you been? Why didn't you text me back or answer my calls? I was worried sick!" Colton was furious as he walked in and shut the door behind him. "I'm sorry I forgot my phone on the counter. It was an accident. You don't have to get mad." "Mad? Hailey I have been sitting home for 4 hours thinking something happened to you." "Well I said I was sorry stop yelling at me." "No I asked you to do one thing and that was to bring your phone and what do you do? You so called accidentally forgot it." I was tired of hearing it so I walked away into the living room. "Don't walk away from me. I'm not done." he said furious following me. He grabbed my arm to stop me. His grip grew tighter and tighter. "Colton stop you're hurting me!" "He let go trying to calm himself down. I didn't care I was still mad. "You know what? If you continue to act like this maybe I will move back to Miami with James." My response made him upset and angry. "What?" "James asked me to move back to Miami with him and maybe that's what you want and for the best." He didn't say anything. Instead he was walking to the door with his hands in fists. "Where are you going? I demanded. "He thinks he can just come here and take you away from me? I will show him." "No don't" I grabbed on to him with full force trying to stop him from leaving. "Let me go now!" "No" He then lost his temper for two seconds and grabbed me and slammed me into the wall. I was shocked. Tears started to fill up in my eyes. I couldn't move. Colton just looked at me. Tears were forming in his eyes too. "Hailey I'm so" I cut him off and tried to walk out the door but he stopped me and pulled me into a tight hug. I fell to the floor still in disbelief. He sat on the floor too and pulled me in his arms on his lap so my head was on his shoulder. He was crying. "Baby I'm so sorry. I'm sorry." he said holding me tighter. "It's okay you didn't mean it." "Please forgive me. I don't want to live without you. I can't live without you. I love you more than anything. You are my life. I'm so sorry. I will never do it again. I'm just sorry." "It's okay I know. I love you too. Don't cry" I said wipping the tears from his deep brown eyes. I kept my head on his shoulder. He sang Nothing Lasts Forever to me softly. After about in hour on his lap, he didn't want me to be alone so he took me home with him and I slept over his house. As I was laying on his bare chest I saw he was asleep. All I could think about all night was what he said about not being able to live without me. That made the decision 100 times harder to even think about leaving. I decided to worry about it tomorrow and fell soundly asleep in his arms.
