It was a day we scheduled to hang out. Sam, Isabella, and I. A day I'll never forget. A day where Sam was weeping in the corner while Isabella explained what Francis does. She didn't hold back on me. No matter how much I wanted her to. She told me I needed to hear it. So I listened.

It's been five years for Isabella, and two for Sam. Sam wouldn't look at me or Isabella. No matter how much she tried to comfort him.

"Why don't you just go to the cops?" I question, my voice shaking.

She smiles at me. After all this how can she still be smiling? "I have a career to think about, and Sam's parents would never forgive him for slandering the family name."

"But-" I try to protest, but Isabella shakes her head.

"It's going to be okay."

I start to cry. I cry for them and any other kids who have had to deal with people like Francis. "No it's not! It was so horrible what I saw!" I murmur.

Just like a mother. Isabella takes me into her arms and she lets me cry. I feel ashamed for crying, because they should be the ones crying. Even though I knew I was so close to going through what they did, I didn't. "I'm sorry Isabella. I'm so, so sorry."

She strokes my hair. "Shhh it's not your fault." She gently pulls my head back so she could look me in the eyes. "Don't ever think it's your fault. Ever. That goes for you to mister." She calls out Sam who is just laying motionless on her bed in her room.

We spent the rest of the day in each others arms. I fell asleep to her heartbeat.

When I woke up I was in bed with Sam. He was sleeping beside me and Isabella wasn't in the room. The thing that woke me up was the ringing of her telephone. It was an unknown number, but I picked it up.

"Hello?" I greet the person on the phone. I just wanted the ringing to stop so I could go back to sleep.

"Aurora? It's me. I need you and Sam to get my chauffeur and meet me at the address I'm about to send you."

"Isabella? Where are-" She hangs up the phone. That was strange. Somethings not right. "Sam! Wake up!" I shake him roughly.

"What?" He answers groggily.

"We have to go right now." I stand up from the bed and start to get my things together.

"Why?" He's still out of it.

I sigh. "It's Isabella. She needs us."

Like he was struck with lightning, he hops out of better and gets his stuff together as well. The phone buzzes, and I knew she sent me the address.

The chauffeur didn't ask any questions. He just did as he was told. It was in the middle of the night and it was cold, very cold, and it was dark. There were clouds in the sky that covered up all the beautiful stars. My father always told me that that was never a good sign.

We were in the middle of a field, in the middle of nowhere. That took us at least three hours to reach by backroads. She told us in the text to only take backroads. Sam was determined to find her, and it wasn't that hard since we were the only ones out here.

She was digging.

"Isabella!" Sam calls out to her and starts jogging towards her. I was more cautious. I had a horrible feeling in my stomach.

She turned around and smiled at us. "Hey guys."

Sam stopped running. Her whole front side was covered in blood. The outfit she was holding me in early was covered in red.
