Chapter Twenty-two - An Explanation

        You stared at the male before you in utter shock. First he kidnaps you from the limo you rented, then he tell you that you were going to die if you married one of the monster boys you had been dating the past couple months. You didn't even know this man's, or technically monster's, name, and he was telling you that you were going to die because of marriage? It was obscured to think so, but the more you thought about, the more the idea seemed plausible. Some of the boys were larger than you, the two big ones being Matthieu and Allen with the possibility of Luciano thrown in there because he was slightly bigger than an average person in terms of build. The other three wouldn't be a problem, and you couldn't picture Oliver, Gilen, or Flavio ever hurting you, let alone kill you. You thought about the possibility of having kids with the one you'd choose to marry eventually if the law on sex with monsters was lifted at some point. How would that even work with any of them, especially with Matt and Al? You shook your head, trying to clear your thoughts.

        "What do you mean they'll kill me if I marry them? I thought they all wanted to marry me? Unless they are all yandere..." you asked the strange male.

         "They constantly put you in danger... Your time is almost up..." he replied.

         Your eyes widened at his last statement. Your time was almost up? How?! You were so young and had your whole life ahead of you yet! You frowned in thought. They had put you in a lot of danger since they were forced into your care. You had almost been drowned on more than one occasion by Luciano, Flavio, and Gilen. Oliver had nearly poisoned you with a cupcake. Allen nearly got you eaten by another arachne while changing set locations for movie filming. Finally, Matthieu had narrowly missed you on multiple occasions with the bow and arrow he used for target practice in the backyard and once with his axe. Alright, so maybe they did put you in constant danger, but they always made sure to make it up to you afterward in their own little special ways.

        You turned your attention back to the male and opened your mouth to speak but was cut off by rustling in the bushes nearby. Was it the boys coming to rescue you? You surely hoped so, but your hopes were quickly dashed by a horn protruding from the bushes and a mob of red hair. You recognized those characteristics very well.

        "Tionishia and Zombina, come out. I can see your hair and horns," you said calmly.

        You noticed that the male tensed at the mention of those names. The two females in question came out of the bush, Zombina, as probably guessable by her name, was a zombie. He skin was pretty pale and she looked like a normal human aside from the stitches that held her body together. Her hair was a bright red, making it very hard to miss her in a large crowd. Tionishia was an ogre, but she wasn't unpleasant to look at unlike most people would think.  She was very pretty and kind looking despite her sharp horn and large bust that could put Kimihito's girl Centorea's bust to shame. She was fairly tanned with light blond hair and very tall, averaging to be about seven foot five. These two were part of a special for called the Monster Ops: Neutralization, or MON for short. The group had two other girls in it, a shy cyclops named Manako and a carefree doppelganger named Doppel. The whole unit could go out without human supervision unlike other monster species since they were in a unit created by Ms. Smith. The two girls looked at you as you spoke.

        "What are you guys doing here?" you asked.

        "Smith sent us to keep an eye on you in Europe after she got word that someone had been following you around. Then we got a call from some girl sounding British guy who was all in a panic about you being kidnapped by some weirdo," Zombina explained.

        "Then is Smith still in Japan?"

        "Nope! I'm right here!"

        Ms. Smith emerged from the bushes that Zombina and Tionishia had been hidden in previously. She had a couple leaves stuck in her hair and at least one twig, which Tionishia picked out when Smith was close enough. The black haired woman smiled as she regarded you with a kind gaze. Her gaze then settled on the male and turned malicious, but she continued to smile. Oh, did she know him?

        "You." She pointed a slender finger in his direction. "What do you think you are doing here, kidnapping my test subject?"

        You sweatdropped. 'Glad to know that that's all I am to him...'

        The male rolled his eyes and leaned on his scythe a bit. He did not seem amused.

        "I needed help finding my head... Then told her that her life was coming to an end."

        Smith gritted her teeth a bit. "You're just as bad as Lala... Creating all this trouble that I have to clean up in the end. Do you know how much it is going to cost to replace that limo you ruined?"

        "No. I don't care anyway."

        She let out a frustrated groan. You stood by between Zombina and Tionishia, watching silently. You nudged Tionishia's arm lightly. She looked down at you with a small smile while Zombina was busy watching the argument between Ms. Smith and the male.

        "Who is that? He never told me his name."

        "Oh! That's Andrés Fernández Carriedo. He's a dullahan, just like Lala is. He's a bit more blunt than her though... And he doesn't really have a filter when it comes to cussing... Ms. Smith's been trying to track him down for the past three months but hasn't been having any luck until now. I think she was planning on putting him in your care since she doesn't want him out by himself."

        "What?!"

        You looked at Smith, but she was still bickering with Andrés. You were going to have another boy possibly on your hands? Good grief, you weren't ready for this, but you should have been given Ms. Smith's track record with surprising you with new boys. If what Tionishia said was true, how were you going to tell the boys that they had a potential new competitor on their hands? You'd have a little time before they made their way to where you were to think up of an explanation if that was the case. Until then, you had to try to get Ms. Smith from killing Andrés and vice versa.

DreamsForDays here! This one is actually on time today! Woo! So, Reader-chan finally learned her kidnappers name and had an expected visit from Smith, Zombina, and Tionishia. Interesting. Now what to do about the possibility of having another boy on her hands? Guess she's really going to have to think this over. Or not, because you know, Smith works with the government and can do what she wants. Anyway, this story is slowly drawing to a close already. After a few more dates with the boys and some shenanigans, it will be the decision chapter or chapters. It's kind of sad to think about in a way.

It's been a little over five months since this story started, meaning it's been about the same amount of time since For Eternity ended. I think it's sequel, which is still unnamed for the time being with a place holder title, is going to be the next story that takes the place of this story once it concludes. I know I usually have a three to four week voting session for my next story, but because I have a good handful of people who would like to see the sequel, I may not hold voting this time. I'm still unsure yet. I'll hopefully figure it out soon. Anyway, this author's note is way too long now, so I'm going to end this here. Thanks for reading!
