Chapter 35: S class Job

One week had now passed and I was still on my job "Water Dragon secret art! Water Nebula!" I was fighting a bandit that could withstand all my attacks "Why won't you go down." I was running out of magic "You can never defeat me little girl." He smirked. I then tried one spell that I knew would work "Survey the Heavens, Open the Heavens, all the stars, far and wide, show me thy appearance, with such a shine. Oh Tetrabiblos. I am the ruler of the Stars. Aspect become complete. Open thy malevolent gate. Oh 88 stars of the heaven. Shine!" The bandit then got hit with the spell and was knocked out. I then brought the bandits to jail and I got my reward of 500,000 jewels. Tick tock then appeared "Come within me my lady. I'll take you back to your guild." I smiled weakly "Thank you tick tock." I went within him and he brought me back to the guild. When I got back tick tock disappeared and I started to walk slowly "I'm back you guys.." I was weak and hurt and Lucy ran to me "Oh my god Angel. What happened." "The job I went on. I barely beat the bandits. They were able to absorb all my magic. But luckily I remembered one of those Celestial spells and it worked. I defeated the bandits and was able to come back alive. Then my Celestial spirit tick tock brought me back here so I wouldn't have to walk." She sighed "That spell is dangerous to do alone Angel. You could've hurt yourself badly." I sighed "I know." I teleported the money I earned to my house and almost collapsed "I'll bring you back to your apartment." Lucy picked me up and brought me back to my apartment "Thanks Lucy." "You're welcome Angel. Now please rest. I'll come back later to check up on you." I smiled weakly "Ok." I then fell asleep. Since I used a lot of my magic and was hurt, I didn't wake up until the next day "Man... How long was I out for.." I grabbed my head and it was throbbing. I then see a note on my bed. It was from Lucy "Hey Angel. I left some chicken soup in a thermas for you on your table. Natsu and I went on a job with Erza and Gray and we should be back in a couple of days. I hope you feel better and maybe you can come on a job with us. Sincerely, Lucy." I smiled "I hope they come back safely. I bet Natsu is going to get bad motion sickness and Erza's going to have to knock him out." I chuckle and got out of bed slowly. I then walk to my table slowly and sat down. I opened the thermos and the chicken soup was still hot. There was already a spoon on the table so I started to eat right away. After I finished, I went straight back to bed. A few hours later, I woke up and saw Lisanna and Mira "Mira? Lisanna? What are you doing here." "We came to get you better of course. Lucy wanted us to come over to make sure you were ok. I told you that job was tough." I sighed "I know but I'm alive aren't I? I was lucky that I remembered one of those Celestial spells or else I probably would've been done for." Mira just smiled and Lisanna and her took care of me all day. "Mira, Lisanna, thank you." "You're welcome Angel." They smiled and left for the night. The next day, I got out of bed, changed my clothes and grabbed my silver keys and my bag "Time to go to the guild and go on another job. I know I got a lot of money but Natsu and the others are gone and I have nothing else to do." I sighed and walked to the guild. When I got there, Natsu and the others were there "They came back a day early. They must of finished their job fast." I smiled and walked over to them "Hey guys." They didn't respond back. It was like they were ignoring me "Guys? If you're trying to make me mad, it's working." They still didn't respond and I ran off crying. Everyone I knew couldn't see or hear me. I then heard a voice telling me to wake up "Angel.... Angel wake up!" I then opened my eyes slowly "It was all a dream..." I sighed with relief and got ready to go the guild. I grabbed my silver keys and left. When I got to the guild, I saw Natsu and the others and I went up to them "Hey guys." Natsu then gave me his signature smile "Hey my little fireball." Natsu got up and kissed my forehead and I giggled "I missed you." "I missed you too Angel. It's not the same without you. Go on a job with me next time got it?" "Got it." I then kissed Natsu on the lips and there was a lot of ooohs and awwws from people in the guild but I didn't care. After a few seconds, I ended the kiss and my face was covered in blush "Aww. Too cute." Lucy cooed and for a second, I thought I heard Rory's voice and I started to tear up "Angel? What's wrong." Natsu then got worried "For a second, I thought I heard Rory's voice.." I then burst into tears and Natsu rubs my back to try to comfort me "There, there. Let it all out." I hugged Natsu tight and kept crying. What felt like hours was only a few minutes "You okay now?" I nodded "Yeah... Thanks Natsu." "Let's go get something to eat. I'll pay." I smiled "Okay." I went with Natsu and we went to a local restaurant and ate. After we ate, we went back to to my place "Natsu, do you think Rory's alive? Maybe what I did was a dream... But he would've come back though right?" Natsu sighed "I don't know Angel. I wish I could answer that but I can't.." I sighed "I know.." Natsu then grabbed my arm and pulled me to my bed "Natsu what are you-" He put his finger on top of my lips "Sh... We're going to cuddle okay?" I smiled "Okay." Natsu and I then cuddled together for the day
