Chapter 14: Kiss

"Hey! I just remembered, we have a new upcoming play for the new graduates from the middle school department." one girl from the student council requested,

She turned to Gary and begged him to be the leading prince in the story,

"Why, of course, as long as Kris is my princess." Gary replied.

"Ah.. that won't be necessary" I interrupted.

"Why, Of course! Kris gets to be the main character every year because she's beautiful! We're just switching princes, from Louise to you." the girl replied, she didn't listen to what I said.

"That's awesome! Well, Kris, it's nice to be working with you." Gary smiled.

I don't want to be in the play! Especially when the only guy I want to work with is Louise.

"That's awesome. We'll start tomorrow." the girl replied then left.

I admit, Gary's a handsome guy, but not as handsome as Louise.

Louise pulled me to his side then told Gary,

"Hey you, she's a virgin."

"Wh-What the heck!?" I scolded,

"She's a virgin?"

"Really? No way."

"But she's beautiful.."

"Well, I never heard any rumor that she had a boyfriend or something.."

These are what the people are talking about,

Oh great, this piece of news will be the front page story of the school newspaper tomorrow, I'm sure.

"What are you saying!?" I slapped Louise,

He ignored me and told Gary,

"Well, do you hate her now?"

"How could I? It's a rare sight to see such a beautiful lady and still a virgin. I'm planning to get hers." Gary smiled.

"Nobody gets it!" I shouted.

I stomped off and those two guys makes me furious.

I see Gary and Louise still talking but I don't care anymore,

"Hey Kris!" Gary shouted,

I looked at him waiting for what he'll say but my face still speaks 'I AM ANGRY. BACK OFF.'

"May the best man win." Gary continued.

I turned away and ignored what he said, I didn't see Louise the whole day and the day ended fast.

The next day, I was practicing my lines for the play when something caught my eye..

I rushed to the student council office and asked,

"A kissing scene!?"

I never had my first kiss before, please don't tell me it's going to be with Gary.

"Isn't it romantic?" they replied all agreeing.

"But.. a kiss..." I mumbled.

They didn't say anything and looked at their watches,

"Oops, it's time to go, bye Kris."

They never put scenes like this before.

I went into my classroom and had a big meltdown.

I don't want to do the play, I really don't.

I want my first kiss to be with Louise..

I went home with my eyes red and swollen and went straight to my room,

I cried for a few more hours and wiped it off,

I closed my eyes and thought to myself,

Maybe this is all just a bad dream,

All I have to do is sleep it all off.
