Chapter 16: Proposal

College days were approaching and I decided to enter the top university in our planet.

"College for the A's" I know, it definitely speaks 'College for the Unbeatables';

Louise said it was a tacky name but who cares.

I still don't know where Louise is planning to go in college, but I hope we study in the same school.

A large crowd was crowding up in the announcement board of the classroom and so I went to see for myself what they're crowding about.

Tally O's!

The student council is inviting you to our school's most awaited event,

"The Last School Dance" to be held next month.

Venue will be announced later in the classrooms,

Outfits: Earthly clothes

What's with the Tally O's, that's some chappy English.

Earthly clothes!? That's some weird proposition, our  clothes in Mars don't even look that different from the people in Earth. I know because I watched Earthly movies before.

I'm so excited to go and I already had a vision for the perfect dress!
The last school dance is like... the best night of all highschool graduates,

It will surely be the talk of our reunion after a few years later,

I was sketching my dress I wanted when Gary hugged me in the back,

"Kris!" Gary shouted,

"Why is it that you always hug me when we meet!? Get off." I replied,

He unfolded his arms and he frowned,

"What do you want?" I angrily asked,

"Well... I was.. thinking.. " He was chopping his words so I don't understand a measly thing.

"Could you.. well.. be my date to the last school dance?" Gary shyly asked,

"It would be.. really great if you say yes.. but only if you want to.." he continued.

I didn't know how to respond because I don't want to be his date, unless he's Louise but I don't want to hurt his feelings as well.

"Um.. I don't know, I'll think about it.." I answered.

"I'll wait for your answer." He smiled then left.

I went back to my class and my desk was filled with notes and gifts if I could be their date in the dance,

Oh, great. Why is it that the people I don't want to be my dates are the ones asking me.

Can't it be Louise for a change!?

I left them on my desk without a care and waited for Louise so that we can go home together,

I've waited for like 30 minutes and all the people are gone so I checked his classroom,

His things aren't there and he's not there as well.

I was about to leave when he shouted my name and went out of the school's office.
