(Bonnie'sPOV)
I had to go back to school today, while Paisley is stuck in the hospital with nobody but her dad. I mean yeah, she loves seeing her dad whenever she can. He is gone for weeks on end, but he has to support his family. No, not Joey and Paisley's mom, he has a wife in another city that lives with him.
I have heard that there is a new student today, ohhh this is so exciting!!! I wonder who it is. Is it a boy, is it a girl?
I jumped out of my car and dashed to the school doors. Man, it's freezing!! I forced the doors open with my body, as my hands were full with school projects and a bag to fill with Paisley's homework. She doesn't want to get behind. She's a straight A' student, of course she wants to do her work.
I strutted through the halls, past the cafeteria, and to my locker. Turing the knob to put in the combination, I heard girls speechless, which is not normal considering the girls at my school aren't afraid to speak their minds.
I turned around to see a tall, relatively fit guy crouched down to see his locker. I didn't recognize him. Was he the new kid?
"Excuse me, are you new?" I questioned him.
"Yeah, I- I mean yes, yes I am. Ummm... Could you tell me where Mr. Sellin's classroom is. " He seems like the type of guy who is nervous around girls.
"It's right over there. Here I have the same class. What are your other classes?" I asked pointing to his schedule.
"I have ummm... Muller?" I nodded my head for him to continue, "Newburn, Seiler, Bellwood, and Ratliff." That's strange, Paisley has all of those classes.
"Oh. Well, I have those classes, but I have them at different times. I am sure there will be someone who has the same period as you." I said leading him towards the classroom door.
We walked into the door. I walked him over to Mr. Sellin. "Mr. Sellin, this is our new student." I patted his shoulder, pushing him forward.
"Ahh. Bowdidge. Jeffrey Bowdidge is it?" What?!
"I go by JJ." What?!
"Ok. Well since it looks like Ms. Potter has befriended you, you can take a seat next to her." Mr. Sellin told him.
JJ walking close behind me to my seat.
"So... Did you attend this School before?" I had to know. I knew that name sounded familiar.
"Uhh... Yeah, I was her freshman year. Why?" he replied.
I played with the softness of my blonde hair, thinking of what to say.
"Do you remember Paisley Bringer?" his face lit up. "So you remember her." I chuckled.
"Yes, I do. Why, is she here?" he stammered.
"Well she isn't here today, and she won't be in school for a while." I exclaimed.
"Why? Where is she?" he was getting impatient.
"Well, she's in the hospital. She got stabbed last Friday." I explained to him. His mouth dropped.
His piercing blue eyes starred at me for so long, it looked like he was starring into my soul.
"Can-can I see her?" he questioned.
"Sure. I'll take you there after school." I told him.

(Paisley's POV)
While Bonnie was at school, I was stuck here, in the boring hospital. Luckily my dad was here today.
But he had to leave for work after a while, so now I'm all alone. Hopefully Bonnie brings some visitors when she comes.
"Paisley!" Bonnie shouted running into my open arms. Her blonde hair rubbed against my face. I could see a figure behind her.
"Bonnie, who's your friend?" I asked.
She waved her hand for him to come in. His tall body strutted into sight. He had dark brown hair and extremely bright blue eyes. He looked familiar. But I can't remember his name.
"Paisley, this is JJ." Bonnie told me.
"JJ... Who?" I asked again still not remembering.
"JJ Bowdidge." she responded. He was starring at me in disbelief. Why is he looking at me like that.
"You don't remember me, do you?" he stammered.
"I'm sorry, but no. I don't remember exactly who you are," I told him. "Maybe you could give me some ideas of how I know you."
"Well, we were really good friends freshman year, you kinda liked me. I was new from Texas, but I moved after freshman year." He's back. A look of shock appeared on my face.
"When did you come back?" I asked, still looking shocked.
"You do remember me!! Well I got here Saturday morning." he was acting like a little girl.
My looked turned from shock to anger. He came back after two and a half years expecting me to jump into his arms.
"Why did you come back?" I asked.
"Well, my parents decided that we were happier here than in Cold water, so we moved back. Plus they saw that I wasn't happy there." he replied.
"Why were you unhappy?" I looked at him concerned.
"Because I missed you. I missed your laugh, your smile, basically everything about you." How cliche.
"Well if you missed me so much, you could have called me, or gave me your Facebook account name. You know I was in rough shape when you were here, and you kept me alive. When you left, my life got worse. I had to go through therapy for my depression. I almost committed suicide last summer. I thought I had stabbed myself, but it turned out that it was a random guy running away from the police that stabbed me. But the only good thing that came out of this horrific event, was that I met the people that gave me hope after you left." I said in disgust.
"I'm sorry, I don't have a Facebook account, and I didn't know your number, you never gave it to me. Please forgive me." he started to walk forward.
"Why should I?" I spat. I have always had anger towards him for leaving me, but I still managed to want him to come back.
"I can't explain to you why you should forgive me, but I can tell you what can happen if you do forgive me." he told me.
"And what's that?" I asked.
"I can guarantee you a best friend that will never leave your side no matter what." he said, sitting down in the chair next to the bed.
"I already have that. She is right next to me. And has been here for me since second grade." I responded.
"Paisley, I can't tell you what to do but I think you really need him. Don't make me tell him." Bonnie added, having one hand on her hip.
"Oh fine!" I glared at Bonnie
"Why do you always happen to come when I need someone like you the most?" I chuckled.
"I don't know. But I know I will be here for you. I promise." JJ replied.
This is going to be a interesting beginning to the year.
