(Bonnie's POV)
I walked out to find no one in the room. I guess Paisley went outside. It is good to see her actually wanting to go outside. She never wants to go outside. It worries me that she is so pale. I know she likes being pale, but why? I hate being fair skinned.
I paced in living room until I seen an unfamiliar face on the beach. I walking out of the house, I over heard conversation. Paisley's voice was soft. She only does that when she is nervous.
"My family and I are vacationing in the cottage across the lake," the young man said.
"Who are you?" I asked as I was walking over there.
"Oh. Sorry. My name is Josh," he stated, exstending his hand.
I hesitantly shoke it. He had a look to him that made me think he was someone I knew.
"Are you from around here?" I had to know. He looked very familiar.
"No. I'm from Battle Creek. How about you? You from around here?" He responded.
"Battle Creek. Just visiting for the weekend," Paisley added.
"What school do you go to?" He asked.
"Lakeview," we both stated.
"Ah. I used to go there, until I transferred to Harper Creek," thats why I knew his face.
"Oh. You go to that school. What grade are you in?" Paisley asked.
"I'm a senior, I transferred in the eighth grade. Got in too much trouble," he replied.
(Paisley's pov)
I knew his face looked familiar. Why couldn't I make out his name. He has changed too much I guess. I have too. And I plan to keep my name a secret. I am not letting him know that I was the girl he made fun of everyday for the whole year. I will not let him know that I haven't forgoten about what he said, and how it made me feel.
"Do you like Harper? I mean, is it better than Lakeview?" I said as calm as I could.
"It's a lot better for academic purposes. I now maintain a 4.5 gpa," he said very smug like.
"Wow," Bonnie and I exhaled.
"What were your names again?" He asked.
Oh great.
