(Jack's Pov)

My summer hasn't been the best. Without my mom this summer. We didn't feel the need to go on any vacation. We stayed in boring Battle Creek. I wanted to hang out with JJ for the first time in forever but he was with Paisley all the time. Then he went to New York.

Now school is starting tomorrow and it is my last year in High school. I am a senior with only four classes to attend to. The rest of the day is to myself.

I got to the high school just in time to get my schedule before the bell rang to begin the day. I looked down to see only Ap. English, Ap. Civil History, 3D art, and lastly advance guitar class.

I walk to my locker before heading to my homeroom. Walking into Mr. Eckstine's classroom, I looked into the back to see if there were any open seats. The only one open was next to someone I don't believe will speak to me ever again.

"Could I sit here?" I asked before she looked away from the window.

"Sure," Paisley sighed.

I sat down and got settled for the class. They are nomally an hour long. But today is just about policies. Nothing too brain straining.

"Good morning class. I am Mr. Eckstine. Today is the first day so it is all about getting to know your classmates. I know, you all have probably know each other since kindergarten. But some of you may be new. I want you to turn to your shoulder partner and introduce yourself. Ask them how there summer was. Just get to know them," Mr. Eckstine instructed.

I looked at Paisley and opened my mouth, but before I could say anything, she stoped me.

"How was your summer, Jack?" she asked. I looked into her gorgeous blue eyes to see something I haven't seen in a long time. Happiness.

"It was boring. How was yours?" I replied.

"It was great. I got out of the state. Had a little vacation," she returned.

"Yeah, I heard you went to New York. How was it?" I asked again.

"It was amazing. How did you know I went to New York?" She questioned.

"I talked to JJ often during the summer. He was practically my only company," I replied.

"Oh," she let out a heavy breath.

"It's alright. I'm just glad I only have four classes instead of six," I retorted.

"Really? So do I. What cla-" she was interpreted by Mr. Eckstine.

"Now you need to get up and find a new partner to introduce yourself to," I sighed and frowned. I wanted to keep talking to her because I know she probably won't talk to me like this again. I always seem to fuck things up.

I watched her leave the area and go start conversations with other people. I thought I had heard her laugh but wasn't sure for I hadn't heard her laugh in so long, it was hard to distinguish her exact laugh.

"Now I want you to get to know your classmates by the end of the week because you are going to have a name quiz on Friday," Mr. Eckstine stated before the bell rang.

(Paisley's Pov)

I walked out of Ap. English and headed to Ap. Civil History. I love the idea of the Civil war. I mean if it didn't happen there would be slaves all over the place. And I don't mean metaphorically.

I walked into the classeroom to see Mr. Bussler ready to greet people. He doesn't need to with me. I have had him the past three years. He knows that I always find the seat by the wall, right in the very last row.

I look down I at the desk I normally sit at to see my name still carved into it. I felt a breeze pass me as students flood into the classroom. I looked in frount of me and smelt something familiar.

I faked clearing my throat. He turned around to revile the person I thought it was. Jack. Okay. One class with him I can tolerate. But two is on the verge of me kicking him.

"Okay. So I am Mr. Bussler. You can call me Mr. Buss as well. I know the seating arrangement is weird but I will be changing that tonight. Tomorrow the seats will be in teams of four. Whoever you are siting in front of and next to will most likely be in your team. For example, Paisley in the back there, you will sit next to.... I'm sorry what is your name?" he asked Jack.

"Jack Keanen sir," he replied.

"Right. Paisley, Jack will sit next to you, and that is how it will be all the way throughout the whole classroom.

Great. I have to sit next to him two hours in a row. What is next? All the time I am at school?!

(3D Art)

I walked down to my locker to find JJ with it already opened and ready for my things to be stacked into it. I try to keep my locker fairly organized. I keep my textbooks on the right side, and my binders on the left. My reading books are in the middle.

"You ready for Art? One the two classes we have together," JJ asked.

"Yes. Then I get to go home!" I said as we walked to Mrs. Mathis's room. "Let's just hope Jack isn't-" I started to say before I saw his smug face at the front table. "Here."

(A/N:) Hey people!! Thank you for waiting so long for an update. I have just been so busy with school and dealing with my own issues. I know this chapter may have some errors on grammar or spelling but that is just because autocorrect changes the words I want to use to something else. Till next update!! Bye.
