Chapter 80 Ravenous

"Here you go, bro. One satellite phone for emergencies." Matt handed the phone to Bam who seemed relieved to have it in his possession finally.

"Can't thank you enough for finding this." Bam was grateful as he was able to provide another layer of protection for his wife.

"So how's does it feel knowing that you'll soon have a family of three to look after?" Matt fiddled with a spoon while Bam prepared the wheelhouse to head back to Hoonah.

"I just wish our home was finished. I think Lila and the babies would feel more at home in the new space." Bam wanted nothing more than to have Lila settled into her own home. The trapper shack was fine for just the two of them but two babies would require more room especially with their additional needs.

Matt nodded in agreement. "Maybe we can make that happen faster if we put more time into it. I think we can make it happen."

"That would be a big help." Matt called his brothers to the wheelhouse to discuss setting aside all other projects to help Bam and Lila finish their place. Everyone readily agreed that the house should be their priority. They were all just as anxious to get Lila settled and more comfortable since she was carrying their future niece and nephew.

Lila was happy to see Bam return safely to Hoonah. She smothered him in kisses before he could even get through the front door at Kay's. "Babe, I've only been gone a couple of days."

"That's a lifetime to me." Lila held his hand and wouldn't let go of him.

"I'm liking the new look." Bam twirled Lila around like a music box ballerina taking in her updated look. She seemed her old self again. The mini vacation away from Browntown had been a good decision. Kay was good for Lila and he was certain a hot shower and a soft bed helped as well.

"She has some other surprises for you as well but those are meant for your eyes only." Kay made a face at Lila behind Bam's back and burst out laughing as Lila fidgeted uncomfortably.

"Hmmm, maybe we need to leave for home right now?" Bam was amused and slightly intrigued by Kay's statement.  Bam picked up Lila's bags as she said goodbye to Kay.

Bam and Lila headed back to the Integrity but were met by Matt. "Looks like we're going to be here overnight. There's an electrical problem. Noah's working on it but it will be to dark to leave by the time he's finish."

Bam thought for a minute and suggested the guys remain with the boat and see the repairs through to the finish. He and Lila would take a room at the lodge. Bam felt Lila squeeze his hand approvingly. Her mini vacation was just about to get a whole lot better and from the crooked little smile on Bam's face, he agreed. He tipped his sunglasses down slightly to the bridge of his nose to wink at Lila.

Matt headed to the pizza parlor to snag some pies to go for he and his brothers. Lila and Bam headed for the lodge hoping room 307 was available for the night.

As Bam unlocked the door, he hesitated before entering the room and reminisced about all their special times in 307. Lila appreciated his sentimentality. He was a bit of a romantic at heart, an unusual characteristic in most men.

As Bam settled Lila into the room, he suggested he make a food run before everything closed. Lila agreed as this would give her at least thirty minutes to shower and slip into her sexy little surprise for her husband.

"Hurry back lover. My appetites are growing!"

Bam stole a long kiss. "Woman, the things you say to me." He nibbled on her ear as she tried to push him out the door.

Lila stripped down in the bathroom and wrapped her hair in a towel. She had just enough time for a quick shower and then slipped into her new lingerie. She still wasn't one hundred percent happy with the way she looked but she had resolved herself to the notion that she was six months pregnant. She brushed out her hair and added color to her lips. She placed a few drops of perfume strategically behind her ears and on her wrists.

She fiddled with the clock radio attempting to find some mood music and settled on some instrumental sounds. Lila fluffed the pillows on the bed and pulled the covers neatly down to the end. She played with all the light switches and lamps in the room trying to decide what combination of light she looked best in. She heard Bam knock at the door and when she opened it, he had dropped his key. His eyes trailed from the floor where she stood, up one of her exposed legs, and up to her face.

"Good evening Mr. Brown, I've been expecting you." Lila purred like the kitten she was. He always thought that she couldn't possibly look any more gorgeous but there she was, sexy as hell in a black lace gown that exposed her long legs and full stomach. The black lace panties she wore fell strategically below her belly making her the sexiest pregnant woman he had ever seen, not that he was an expert in the field of pregnant women. It took him all of three seconds to clear the door, drop the food, and sweep her back against the wall.

"Hungry?" He asked.

"Ravenous." She replied. "Absolutely ravenous."
