Gabe walked Lucy back to her apartment with Cupcake in tow. He was pleased that their "rewind" date had gone so much better than their first outing with his brothers.
"I had a nice time today." She fumbled with her keys.
"So did I. And I think Cuppy did too." Gabe stroked Mr. Cupcake's head.
Lucy opened the door. "Do you want to come in for awhile?" She secretly hoped he would say yes.
"I probably should head home before they send a search party out for me." Gabe nervously laughed as Lucy's hopes were dashed.
"Rain check then?" Lucy tried not to sound disappointed. She did have a good time with him today. Besides his obvious physical qualities, he was attentive and fun. She enjoyed his gentle demeanor and playfulness with Cuppy. He was a handsome man with boyish qualities, a curious mix for a man.
"For sure." Gabe took the picnic basket from her hand and began to walk away with Cupcake leading the way home.
"Gabe." Lucy called out to him.
"Yeah." He stopped to look at her.
"You forgot something."
"Basket? Dog? What did I forget?"
"This." Lucy put her hands to his cheeks trying to be careful of his bruised face. She kissed him squarely on the lips lingering on his mouth hoping to have the desired effect on him.
"Tomorrow?" She asked.
"Definitely tomorrow." He replied back.

On the way back to Matt and Jill's apartment, Gabe stopped by Bear and Red's house to drop off the picnic basket and to thank Red for the lunch she had packed.
"So your date went well?" Red asked trying not to make Gabe blush.
"It did thanks to your lunch."
"Gabe, darling, I don't think lunch had anything to do with the success of your date." Red flashed a smile to Bear.
"It's that Brown charm." Bear chuckled.
"Careful Gabey. That Brown charm can get a girl in trouble." Red rubbed her stomach.
"Okay that's my cue to leave." Gabe rounded up Cuppy. "You too obviously need some adult time together."
Bear laughed again. "Dude, what do you think we were doing before you came by?"
"Too much info, bro." Gabe kissed Red on the cheek and headed home.
