• Semi x Een •

---

The next day, I receive my very first letter since I first came to Shiratorizawa.

And it was addressed to me by none other than Semi's Mom.

What made it even more interesting was the fact that Kanzaki, who was in charge of distributing the mail every morning, gave me it during breakfast while Semi and I were sitting right next to each other.

"Give me that!" He hisses when I move my hands away right before he could snatch it from my grip.

"No. Please respect people's privacy."

"Sucker." Aimee is chuckling to herself, while Semi shoots an uneasy glare at her. Kanzaki gives him a I-Couldn't-Help-It look, while I tear open the letter.

"Oh, by the way, Kanzaki, how did your date go?" Hichimiya wants to know, scooping some of her soup into her mouth before she chokes at how hot it was.

"It was nice. Ryunosuke-kun is... a bit of a pervert, but he's fun. We had ramen and he taught me how to ride a bicycle." She says, flushing a little red at the mention. Aimee points an accusing finger at Semi, furrowing her eyebrows at him.

"Why don't you ever do something like that with Een? Why can't you take her out to do something special instead of just shitting around and going to the library? Even my idiot soulmate took me to a planetarium."

"That's because sh- Een give me that!" Semi yells when I take the letter out. I rest it on my lap, and his hands freeze right before he touches the piece of paper.

"You're not bold enough to take it now." I give him a grin when he retrieves his hand away from me and looks away.

"Dammit Een."

"Don't just change the subject, Semisemi." Aimee has to say, tapping the table with her fork.

"Quit that crap! This is why I don't want her to read that letter." He utters, and I look at the scribbles his mother had written.

"Oh."

"Een."

"OH."

"Een, no."

"Why do I like where this is going?" Hichimiya and Tendou stand up to look at the letter, and Semi shakes his head in frustration.

"Do you want me to go?" I ask, turning to face him.

Our friends exchange confused glances, all gazes now on Semi, as if waiting for an answer.

"Well, I just... Quit giving me those looks!" He hisses when he sees the smirks on Hichimiya and Tendou's faces.

"Where are you taking her, Eita-kun?" Tendou sings, and even Kanzaki seems a little interested, leaning a little closer as if to hear our conversation better.

"Where are you trying to take her? Is your Mom worried that you guys might- Ow." Aimee gets elbowed by Kanzaki right then, and I glance at Semi, flustered.

"Shut up. It's just... I have only one Uncle, and he's getting married this weekend." He explains. "And Mom wants me to attend the wedding with... With Een."

"Now that's what I'm talking about!" Aimee raises a hand, which Hichimiya bends a little to give a high-five to.

"Mom asked me first, and I... I can't believe she would send you a letter!" He looks at me with an agitated expression on his face. I fold the letter and put it back into the envelope before I glance at him again.
