My third Valentine's day as a student of Shiratorzawa started out hectic.

The first problem was that Semi was in post-detention, for having snuck into the gym to play volleyball, without permission from the office.

So, I had a cleanly packaged box of chocolates taken out from the freezer, waiting to be given to its owner.

"Wow. And you ask me why I hate Semi." Aimee whispers to me later during breakfast. While I sat down with my friends, Valentine's day bonanza was going strong as ever.

After I finished my breakfast, I decide to give my chocolates later during lunch, when Semi would actually be present during the meal. So, I rushed back to the Home Economics class, putting away the box and taking out my slightly bigger box of giri chocolates.

Each year, I made chocolate goodies to give to my closest friends and teachers. It wasn't a few times when I had been called a goody-two-shoes for that, but even the smile on Sayaka-sensei's face when I handed her a piece of packaged chocolate, was enough to make me happy.

She had wished me luck, and I had raced back to the cafeteria. When I approach our table, I see that Hichimiya had a bag of small chocolate balls, which she was throwing at Tendou - who was attempting to get them inside his mouth and failing miserably each time.

According to Tendou, Hichimiya - who was even more disastrous than me, at cooking - had given him store-bought chocolate which she had dipped in caramel and frozen overnight. Beside them, Aimee looks like she wants to vomit, and Kanzaki and Kaizawa were trying to ignore them while they finished their breakfast.

"Satori, here," I say, fishing through my bag and pulling out the package I had labelled with his name. Tendou blinks a couple times before he accepts it with a smile.

"You're giving them to me this year too?" He says, his voice trembling a little.

"Of course," I say, putting away the rest. "You're my friend, and we've been doing it for the past seven years. Didn't you expect me to?"

Tendou laughs a little as he opens the wrapper. He takes a bite out of it, giving me a thumbs up right afterwards.

"Handmade?"

"Yes, is it that bad?" I ask, sweatdropping. Tendou shakes his head, popping the remaining bit of chocolate inside Hichimiya's mouth. "I like it. But do you have something different for Eita-kun?"

The perspiration forming on my face intensifies while I pass out some chocolates for my friends at the table. "Yes, but... Why are you asking?"

Tendou scratches his head a little, looking at the remaining chocolate in his package before he takes another bite.

"Um, before I say this, please know that I love these chocolates you made, Een-chan. Thankyou!" Tendou says, his voice excited as he holds up the package while flailing his arms around.

"Een did what?"

The five of us turn around, to see Semi walking up to us, sipping a bottle of tea.

I am thanking the Lord that I had put the giri chocolates I had made inside my bag. I didn't want him to see them, but unfortunately, he had fully heard the conversation.
