Chapter 12: Darkness

["The number you have dialled is-"]

SHOOT! Now I can't even contact that girl! Bakit ba kasi hindi siya ma-contact? Bakit ba kasi ngayon lang sinabi ni Boss ang balita?! Na-contact pa naman namin sila last night, pero ngayon hindi na!

"Les, kahit si Tita Lydia, hindi rin sinasagot ang tawag ko." Nag-aalala ang mga tingin ni Yana. Kahit naman din kami, hindi namin ma-explain ang nangyayari.

"What now? I'm pretty sure na anytime around, may pupunta nang media dito or worst, they will follow us like...OMG! I can't take this! Where's Nyxia?"

Mas dumagdag pa sa stress itong si Madison. Kanina pa siya daldal nang daldal tungkol sa press at nagrereklamo dahil hindi siya makapag-upload ng mga pictures niya sa social media; baka daw ulanin siya ng mga tanong.

Ang laki ng problema, right? Very stressful. Note the sarcasm.

"Madison, just please stop. Just have your so called 'Beauty Rest'. You're talking so loud." She just rolled her eyes and lay down at the sofa. Still murmuring something. Like I care.

I dialled their number pero wala paring sumasagot sa kanila. I don't know their home number. Hindi naman namin alam na may ganito palang mangyayari.

"BUT THEN!"

"Hoy Madison!" Napasigaw kami ni Yana dahil bigla na lang sumigaw si Madison at tumayo sa sofa.

"Madison, bakit ka ba sumisigaw?" Even Yana is pissed off by Madison's unnessecary actions. Calm Yana is nowhere to be found.

"I'm sorry, okay? I just can't...believe everything that we heard about them. It's like, bakit hindi nila tayo na-inform? Or, why did they kept this a secret?" Malala na si Madison. Napakalaki ng mga problema niya. Sobra!

"Hindi natin alam ang dahilan nila. Maybe we should wait for them. They'll be here tomorrow, that's for sure." Si Yana na lang ang kalmado sa aming tatlo. Nagawa niya pang mag-grocery at magluto ng hapunan.

"I'm not sure about that, Yana. Nyxia can't make it because of the super daming media! They will probably stay there forever and we will locked up in here forever and ever! OMG! I can't even go to the salon! I'm dead! Seriously, this is the end of the world- OW! WHY DID YOU HIT ME, LESLIE?!"

"You're overreacting, noisy, whiney and not helping at all! That's why I hit you, got a problem?"

She again, just rolled her eyes. Para namang ang lakas ng hampas ko. Hindi nga halos dumampi. Tsk!

"We need to sleep. It's already 12 in the midnight. Let's just talk about this tomorrow."

Hindi na namin namalayan ang oras. Dahil sa balita na sinabi ng boss namin, hindi na kami makatulog.

2 effin hours has passed. Hindi ko pa rin mahagilap si Kei. Sa loob ng dalawang oras, hindi ko talaga siya masyadong hinanap. Duh! Nakakapagod din kaya. It's not like it's my obligation to search for him. Babae ako! Anong connect?

"Ma'am magsasara na po kami, balik na lang po kayo bukas." Sabi sa akin nung babaeng nakafully striped red and white dress. Nagmukha tuloy siyang candy cane dahil sa suot niya.
