Jayden still hadn't come back from his room since the bomb was dropped, it was getting close to 10pm and I would soon need to consider getting home somehow.

"He won't stay grumpy for long, he can't go a day without speaking to you Rachel.." I smiled and pulled Eleanor into a hug, my vibrating butt cheek cut the hug short.

"That's Dad checking up on me, I really should go and see them.. they haven't seen much of me in the past few days" I pulled my coat around my shoulders and thanked them for the lovely meal before I started walking down the dimly lit street.

My pals became sweaty as the distance between myself and Jayden's house declined. Being alone didn't bother me, I quite enjoy yes it actually. It was the lack of noise that made me uncomfortable, knowing that no one was in ears range to hear me squeal if I was approached by a predator made my stomach knot up.

I squeezed my eyes shut tight and pick up my pace. I was going to be fine, if the worst happened then I would have the fighting skills to protect myself.

"Are you lost?" My feet were frozen, the new presence made the hair ok the back of my neck stand tall.

"N-no, just heading home" I tugged my coat around my body and took a deep breath, it was a male, judging but his tone I'd guess he was in his late twenties or early thirties.

"So your just stupid? A young lady like yourself, walking around a dark street alone?" I could feel him closing in on me, only a few metres behind me.

"I grew up around here so I'm fairly confident that I'm not in any danger, until you showed up of course" I continued to walk, his footsteps still following mine.

"Trust me sweetheart, I'm the least of your worries," his voice was husky. With so much depth.

"I'm not your sweetheart"

His laughter drowned out the sound of the wind and the crisp temperature of the wind. My stomach knots doubled in size, I slipped my hand inside my clutch and retrieved my phone.

"So if I you think I'm a danger why aren't you running? Or defending yourself? No weapon?" I swallowed a very developed lump in my throat, he was smart, he was the type of guy that knew what you would thinking.

"I'm not afraid of you, so I certainly don't see you as a threat" my lip was quivering and my palms were sweating more than ever.

"Sounds like you're trying to convince yourself that that's how your feel" I stopped abruptly and turned to face the voice.

And my words got caught in my throat as I gasped for a small portion of air. He was tall, at least a head taller than Mason. Darkness enveloped his features, and I wanted it to stay that way. The last thing I wanted was his face haunting me in my nightmares.

"What's wrong? Cat got your tongue?" I winced as my phone started vibrating ferociously, Mason.

I pushed it further into my coat pocket. My mind was screaming at me to keep walking and get the hell away from this dark figure. My body seemed to be under some sort of trance, some freaky hypnosis crap.

"Why can't I walk away?!" My throat felt like it was becoming tighter, and my chest was heaving with every thud of my heart.

"Because I'm not allowing you to" his voice was smug, his body stepped forward so he was standing underneath the street light. His jaw and cheekbones were chiseled and his chest was larger than anything I'd ever seen before. His form was not human.

"When I let you, you're going to keep walking to wherever you were heading and you're going to continue living your life but I'll be back, and you won't see it coming but you will be happy to see me" before I could ask another question or breathe another breath he was gone.
