I didn't know what to say, the way he was acting was enticing my wolf I had to stay in control of my mind and sanity besides I've never seen this guy in my life! So why the hell is he acting like my father?

My wolf was trying to connect with me through mind link but for some strange reason I couldn't make out what she was trying to say, it was as if she was speaking in tongues and I was getting a bit of a head ache trying to figure it out. The guy who's name I needed to find out looked up at me and his face instantly softened. He stood up, his tall musculare frame standing proud as he walked in front of my desk .Looking at Cassie he cleared his throat and spoke in a low controlled voice,

"Would you mind moving?"

I stared at him wide eyed, how dare he, it was the first day of school and I haven't seen my bestfriend for 3 weeks, I was not going to let an extremely hot man walk in here like some king

"No I want to sit with her you can sit there." I pointed my head towards the chair on my other side. I smirked when I heard my sassy tone, that should teach him. A low growl erupted from his chest as he obeyed and sat down but moved the desk so it was joined to mine.

"What's your name angel?"

Since when were we giving each other nicknames? was I notified about this? I shivered slightly at the firm hold he had on my thigh, it was starting to annoy me how he thought he could do whatever he wanted to me and whoever was in his line of sight.

"Rachel, yours?" I slipped a piece of hair behind my ear and kept my eyes ahead of me, concentrating to the best of my ability.

I couldn't deny it all I wanted but I couldnt help but want to know the name of this tanned god, his deep blue eyes seemed to darken a shade followed by his grip tightening. I looked in the direction he was and noticed jackson was sitting with a group of his friends starring intently at mason and boy if looks could kill I bet jackson would be dead. Im so glad im not on the other end of his glare.

I placed my hand on his and pushed it away from me and on top of his desk. A few lone butterfies flew around my stomach just at the skin in skin contact. I had no idea who he was but I felt like I'd known him for years, which is completely impossible and I'm seriously questioning my sanity.

"Mason. Mason Borne"

After Jackson and Mason finished having their little stare off he looked back at me, and  I got a proper look at how chiseled his jaw and cheek bones were, when I say chiseled I mean by the Greek gods themselves.

"So I guess you know?" He sat back in the chair, arms stretched behind his head, a small smirk resting comfortably on his lips as if it was perfectly moulded to fit. His question confused me, what am I supposed to know? was he an old family friend that I've never met? I guess that would explain the feeling I was experiencing, there's only one way to find out.

"Nope, should I?" I scribbled down the words written on the board, I felt his eyes burning the side of my head with his heated gaze.

He cleared his throat, anxious for my attention, his eyes racked over my whole face and then back to my eyes, holding me captive as his tongue peeked out to wet his lips and I couldn't miss the shiver running up the base of my spine as a warm sensation flowed through every single one of my veins.

"you feel that..." I put my head down in embarrassment, answering his question, of course I could feel it.

He slid his finger along my shoulder. One by one each of my body parts seemed to give into his charm, my heart skipped a beat and my cheeks seemed to heat up. My blood fuzzy and my stomach erupting with bubbles.

"You're the new guy that's been the number one topic of everyone's conversation? The big bad wolf that started a fight last night?" I chewed on my lip, amused by the sight of his cocky grin when I referred to him as a big bad wolf.

He smirked and sat back in his chair, his arms folded over his chest making his biceps expand, as if it was even possible for them to get any bigger.

"No I've actually been living in the schools janitor closet"

his face was compleatly serious, for a few seconds. He then butst into a fit of laughter. I smiled at the scene, his left cheek had a small dimple and a big cheesy grin filled his face.

"My father is the Alpha, I went away for a few years, but now I've been forced to return and take on the responsibilities of leading a pack, you know the usual responsibilities of being the first born son"

He rubbed the base of his neck and although he was joking about it like it was no big deal, he and I both knew just how wrong he was, thats a lot of responsability for man like his father let alone Mason who was just 17. I have trouble handing in class assignments on time so controlling a whole werewolf pack is out of the question.

"Good luck with that chief" I rubbed the back of my neck and concentrated on the word the teacher was dribbling"

He scoffed and continued to do the same, I'd always had a fascination towards the many  roles and levels that created the foundation of every wolf pack, the process that was created to choose a leader and the consequences that came with such responsibility.

"What are you thinking about?" Mason asked with a worried look on his face

'Oh-' I was cut off by the bell, I stood up from my chair and tried to walk to next period with Cassie. A strong hand grabbed my elbow and pulled me back.

"I'll see you at the pack meeting tonight," I gave him a little wave and linked arms with Cassie, rushing off to our next class.
