The Stalker

Chapter 38

It was midway through the season and Sharna and her partner were doing really great. From the first day they met, Sharna felt like she could trust him and she found out she could.

A couple of weeks into their rehearsals Sharna decided to tell him the short version about her abduction, she had the idea he needed to know and he was completely understanding. He understood why she sometimes had to leave and why they weren’t going to dance the rumba.

During the season Sharna was complimented on her choreography multiple times. And she really felt like her choreography got better. Her partner worked really hard and wanted to prove he was worth of it and that only made Sharna challenge him more.

They were halfway through the season and the Monday night show was about to begin. It was latin-week tonight and Sharna was dancing the argentine tango with her partner. It was one of her favorite dances and it was also one of her favorite choreography’s.

She pulled her partner apart right before they had to dance, they were last. Together they waited for their package to end and they got on stage into their first position. The dance went really well and everybody was on their feet cheering for them. When they got their scores, it was the first perfect score of the season.

Before they had to join the other couples on walk-way and hear who was eliminated, Tom stopped both Sharna and her partner.

“I got some news for you. First I want to tell you that you are safe and that you are dancing next season.” Sharna and her partner cheered loudly, both very happy.
“But I got more news for you, first let’s see this clip.”

A clip was shown from a couple of season ago, when Sharna told the camera that she wished her parents, but especially her dad would be able to see the show.

“Well, tonight that dream might come true.” On the big screen the camera showed Sharna’s parents, sitting next to Maks and a pregnant Peta.

Sharna had tears in her eyes, she didn’t know her parents would be at the show tonight. And she ran towards them and hugged them very tight. Some of the female castmembers were crying when Sharna and her dad hugged each other.

After the show Sharna, Val and her parents went out for dinner and they talked about everything they had missed in the last couple of weeks.

Sharna told that in the days after her parents had left, she had a couple of nightmares, but they were reduced to minimal right now. When she was really stressed it felt like they become more, but when she takes her rest and let Val help her relax, she has barely any nightmares.

Meanwhile her parents talked about how the doctor was very happy with the results after their trip. Her dad’s kidney function hadn’t worsened and that made him very optimistic. This time there wasn’t even a doctor accompying him on the trip. Her parents also told that they would stay at least until the finale of the show and maybe see something of the country afterwards, before they would go home.

Sharna had also big news to tell her parents, but she waited him until the end of the dinner.
“Val and I have recently bought a new place, where we are living right now.” Sharna looked at Val and he nodded.
“And we would love it if you would stay with us, while you are here.”
“Really, well I would love to see the place and I think afterwards we’ll decide if we will stay.”

Together they all went to their new place and when her parents arrived, they had no choice and they stayed there until the end of the season.
