Chapter 106

"Well," Amy said as she wiped off another clump of putrid waste from her arm onto the 'Clean Room' floor. "Remind me to never, EVER, let you boys choose the escape route."

Militum rolled his eyes as he rung out his wash cloth in one of the huge sinks, "At least we are alive." Huge chucks of . . . he didn't even want to know, went down the sink with each squeeze of the rag.

"I don't know if that is a bonus just now," Amy retorted.

All five of them were scattered around the room, peeling off layers of disgusting waste. They had been forced to take the waste pipes out from the energy converter chambers. The pipes led to a waste plan on the surface of the planet where every kind of foul concoction known to man spewed up as well. The waste wasn't the only problem. The old men who ran the plant were none too happy with them "infecting their garbage with human flesh." Their whole group ended up being chased out by their mops. When they finally made it back to the Tardis, the machine zapped them all when they tried to clean themselves off in the console room. It eventually led them to the huge "Clean Room." the whole space was almost as big as the console room with white walls and grated floors. There were shower spouts all over the ceiling and sinks that lined all of the walls. There even were a few that were dedicated to washing out eyes and mouths.

"Hey guys?" Rory called. Everyone turned to look at the guy. The grayish gunk had plastered his hair down onto his scalp except for a single puff of hair on one side. He was staring at his wrist watch. "It has been two hours."

"So?" Amy rinsed off her wash cloth.

Militum watched Sherlock's face drop as he peeled off his trench coat and see all of the grime on it. The poor guy looked more horrified than he had when they first climbed out of the sewage.

"So. The Doctor said he was going to be back an hour ago. And none of them are here." Rory said.

Amy waved him off, "Oh you know the Doctor, always getting into trouble. He's fine. He probably just forgot about the time, as he does."

"An hour does seem like a lot of time," John admitted.

"Oh Hush," Amy said with an eye roll, "If you knew the Doctor as long as we have, you would know he is not great at following a schedule." She wrung out her cloth, still supremely covered in waste and started heading for the door, "Now I am going to go take a shower, or maybe three. I will see you later." With that she left and the doors slid shut behind her.

                ************

Breaking in wasn't the hard part.

Rose wasn't naive to believe that. The hard part about their rescue mission was blending in. floors and floors full of employees monitored by guards and scientists around the clock. There was no easy way around getting to the holding cells.

Using her sonic and some hacking skills The Doctor had shown her, Rose was able to pull up the layout of the building before they left the museum. Together they made a plan. There were two sets of holding cells. One was located on the top floor, near the president's office, and the other was on one of the underground levels. Since the underground cell would be the easiest to sneak into they would hit that one first. The longer they were there increased the risk. She really hoped he was in the lower holding cells.

After a few hours of prep, they were at one of the backdoor entrances to the building. With a quick buzz from her sonic they were in. Rose wore a white lab coat that she swiped from the museum along with a clipboard –because scientists always seemed to be carrying one around. Despite her best tries, Jack insisted his charming features would be the best disguise. After a quick stop at the locker rooms on the ground floor of the employee's hall, they were on their way.
