It's not my fault
It can be closer than just the hospital a couple miles away
It can be closer than the crack house down the street
It can reside in your house
Under your bed
In your dreams
And your reality
It can take pills that are said to calm it
It can hurt people when there are no pills to drug it
It knows just what button to press to get you to agree
It knows how it hurts you
Yet doesn't say a thing
It plasters a smile and says that it's ok
It makes you think it's a trust worthy person
But in reality
It will crumple your will to stay
It will make you think thoughts that you would never dare say
Draw things that no one will ever see
Or you can just play off as practice
It kills you from the inside out
Slowly eating away
It's an acid to your sanity
And you don't stand a chance
Terrified to get in an enclosed space with it
Because it's like a hungry predator
And you are it's most easy prey
There is no one to tell it it's wrong
And no one to hear it say
"What's wrong with you, you seem upset today"
I'm trapped
Can't you see
The crazy that is strangling me?
The pills don't stop it
It just suppresses it into a far too small box
It's angry, it's roaring, like wind, it keeps soaring
You cannot stop the wind
It goes forever
Crazy is closer than you think
And scarier than you could ever hope to imagine.
