This can't be happening
I met love yesterday.
We played video games for hours
First it was racing
Then he taught me how to play his favorite game
I was ok at it
It was semi scary game
And during the narrative he would hold my hand
And when I got stuck he would help
And if I kept dying he would take the controller and get me through
I would lay my head on his shoulder
And he would tell me how proud he was of me that I got that far
He kept saying I was good
It made me happy.
I've met love once before
On a bus, coming back from a competition
It was a lovely time
He fell asleep on me on the way back
After we talked about nothing for a while
But he soon moved away
Love sometimes stops to say hello
But he doesn't usually stay
But yesterday
He was there
When it got late
And the lights were out
We lay on the floor and talked
So close I could feel his breath on my face
So close I could touch
Our hands found each others
And we talked about the endlessness of space
We laughed and rolled around on that floor for what seem like hours
His head in my lap at some points
My fingers tracing the shape of his face
I met love yesterday
But I don't think he loves me back.

PoetryJust words that flow A river in my head It twists and turns And never stays the same The current is strong You can never go back Pen it down And remember The joy of the ride Through the rough bumpy tide That are the words In my mind.
