Take your time
Sit in silence
The wilderness rushing by
Maybe a sidewalk
Maybe a play ground
Maybe some mountains,
Comfortable silence
Thinking of each other
Hand in hand
No one to bother,
Pleasurable silence
One tracing circles
On the hand of the the other
Staring out the window
Waiting for stars,
Uncomfortable silence
She needs to tell him something
The words are stuck
He needs to ask her something
No such luck,
Small talk into silence
How was you day
A gesture, a smile
Makes for quite an awkward way,
Deep conversations of silence
Wondering about the sound waves from tires
Or how nothing is ever truly silent,
Silence,
Nothing to save it,
A word might break it,
just drive.

PoetryJust words that flow A river in my head It twists and turns And never stays the same The current is strong You can never go back Pen it down And remember The joy of the ride Through the rough bumpy tide That are the words In my mind.
