We look up at the sky
See all the little dots
Those are stars
Balls of gas that float
Out in a big vacuum
That we have no idea what it's like
They shine because of fusion
Two atoms come together
Making heat
Shining bright
A star
Children think it's magic
But all it is is science
But what if it's not
What if the sky is always bright
And at night somebody puts a box over us
A black box with holes poked in it
So we can have a little light
But the stars aren't real
They were never real
What if we're all just a science experiment
Living in some kids window
We don't actually live in space
And he's just up there taking notes
How we seem to screw up everything
We can't even handle having a leader
If stars aren't real
Then what in reality is
