I only don't see you as much
Whenever I was around you
Every sound would dull
It was like I was wearing headphones
But no sound was playing
Everything was muffled
When you'd lock eyes with me
We used to play this thing
Where I would stare at you
And you the very same
And whoever looked away first
Lost
It was fun
We would do it across the lunch table
But now
I don't wear those headphones
Your girl does I think
I just smile at you
You and your little dumb self
But I'd like to thank you
You gave me many feelings
But they are not as bright
As the ones I feel now

That lit up my day
He is a whole forest fire

Out of a dark hold I was in
