"I'm sorry baby but I have to go out of town for a few days." Louis said sadly.
"I really wanted to be with you on Valentine's Day but I don't know if I'll be back in time."

"That's ok daddy, I understand. I'm a little nervous about going to work tomorrow though." Harry said nervously as he picked at the comforter on top of them. Louis grabbed his hands and held tight.
"If anything happens, you call me. Anytime, anywhere. Ok? You also have Niall there, just be strong and proud of who you are." Harry hugged him tightly.
"Thank you daddy, it means so much to me that you want to protect me."
They fell asleep holding each other after sharing "I love you's".

The next morning Harry left early to change at his house for work, while Louis had packing to do. He got dressed in his usual attire for work, black pants with a blue button up shirt. He called Niall to have him meet up in the parking lot to walk him in, he was truly afraid.
Niall was there waiting, ready to pounce if needed and Harry really appreciated it. When they got in everything seemed normal so Harry breathed a sigh of relief.
"Do you want me to walk you to class?" Harry sighed.
"I think I'll be ok, maybe come and eat lunch with me?" He tried to hide the shaking in his voice but it was impossible.
" come on I'm walking you, and of course I'll have lunch with you." Niall said patting him on the back. Harry nodded appreciatively and they walked together. When he got to the door he noticed it was askew.
"I locked this when I left on Friday." He said nervously. Niall frowned and stepped in front of Harry to open the door. The room was normal aside from a dozen roses on his desk. Harry covered the big grin on his face with the back of his hand while Niall patted him on the shoulder taking his leave.
He walked up and grabbed the card and of course it was from his daddy. He quickly dialed his number.
"Hi princess." Louis said with a smile.
"Hi sir, thank you for the flowers. They are beautiful!" He pauses for just a minute before he has to say goodbye again.
"I'll talk to you again, if I don't hear from you tomorrow, happy Valentine's Day, I love you." He tried to hide the sadness in his voice, he doesn't want Louis to know just how disappointed he is that they aren't spending Valentine's Day together.
"Baby, I'm so sorry. I love you too and I will talk to you tomorrow."
The day went along pretty smoothly, he avoided the assholes from the bar for the most part. He only got a few dirty looks though, nothing said and he liked it that way. He gathered all his things for the end of the day and went to get Niall to go shopping for their men.
