I wake up a bit earlier than usual, my shoulder throbbing. I shut my eyes tightly for a moment before forcing them open, sitting up.

My eyes adjust to my near pitch black room as I get up, walking out into the hall and into the bathroom down the hall.

I dig through my cabinet until I find a bottle of pain killers, which is almost empty.

I sigh, emptying what's left in the bottle into my hand, and then swallowing them all.

I throw the bottle in the trash and head back into my room, digging through my drawers until I find some black ripped skinny jeans and a hoodie.

I head back to the bathroom and take a quick shower, blow drying my hair and getting dressed quickly. My hair's still slightly damp as I put on some light makeup, glancing at myself in the mirror one more time before heading out to the kitchen.

I quickly shoot Daisy a text, sitting my phone down on the counter when I'm done.

I dig through the cabinets until I find a box of granola bars, pulling it out. I put it on the counter and pull one out, opening it. I take a bite as I pick my phone back up, seeing Daisy texted back.

Daisy 🌻:
See you then.

P.S, I love the emoji.

I smile slightly, putting the box back in the cabinet and finishing my granola bar.

I grab my keys off the counter and head outside, getting in my car.

I drive to Daisy's house, parking in her driveway when I get there. I shut off my car, honking the horn. She rushes out seconds later, her long strawberry blonde hair in two braids.

I look at her dress as she opens the door, getting in. It goes down mid thigh and I can't help but to stare.

"Well, look at you Blithe... Don't you look stunning as per usual." I say with a slight smirk.

She blushes, biting her lip.

"So do you." She says, but I can tell that somethings off by the tone of her voice.

"You okay? You seem down." I ask, glancing over her.

"Yeah, I'm just... dreading school but it's okay."

"Might be stupid to ask but... we could skip? I can take you somewhere." I offer, thinking about the place I go to when I need to clear my mind.

"No, no... It's fine. Maybe another time?" She says, and I just smile and nod, trying to hide my disappointment.

"Just shoot me a text and I'll be at your house."

"Thank you." She whispers as I start the car.

We drive to school, talking a lot.

"Okay, let me get this straight. When you were 7, you gave a letter to your crush saying "get out of my school."?" I say, busting out laughing.

"Yep! I didn't know how to handle crushes!" She laughs, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't adore her laugh.

"How romantic. The poor boy!" I say, laughing harder.

After our moment, we both get out. We walk into school together, and we stop by her locker.

"I'll see you later, yeah?" I say, looking down at her.

"Yeah! See you at lunch." She gives me a smile, walking away.

I decide to just keep an eye on her today, having an off feeling because of how she was acting this morning.

I stay out of sight as I watch her in gym.
