Blair kisses me on the cheek and I knew it was her attempt of calming me down.
"You should go." My mother says and I'd imagine that if we were in a cartoon, her ears would be steaming.
"I'm sorry, baby." Blair says as my eyes fill with tears. I give her a look, pleading for her not to go.
She does anyways, leaving me with a mother that I felt like I didn't know anymore.
I get discharged and we go home, the car being dead silent. We park in the garage and she gets out.
"I need help." I call out but she ignores me.
I sigh, grabbing the crutches I was provided with, opening the door. I put my good foot out and one crutch out. I try to push myself out but the pulled muscle in my arm basically makes it impossible to even move off my feet.
I manage to get myself up and into my bedroom and when I look at the clock, I realise it took me 2 hours.
How was I meant to do anything without a friend or mother to help me? I hear someone walking to my room so I quickly hide my phone under me.
"Phone, remote and laptop." My mum says, holding her hand out.
I scoff, "as if. You're not getting my phone. Not over my dead body. I don't know why you're blaming me or Blair for what happened to me but right now I'm ashamed to call you my mother."
She looks at me with a sort of shocked face and just walks out. I lay down in bed, trying my best to fall asleep and once I do,
I regret it."Miss me?" I hear the dude who beat me up say from behind me.
"W-why are you doing this to me..." I whimper, trying to keep my eyes constantly on him as he circles around me.
"You stole my girl right from me and for that... you have to pay."
The whole time he delivered his sentence, his eyes grew more and more excited. You could see the evil, it was written all over him. It gave me the chills.
He pulls out a switch blade and starts cutting up my clothing, "I'm gonna do exactly what I did to her to you," he mutters, smiling evilly.
I wake up, drenched in sweat. I pull my phone off my charger and shakily call Blair's contact.
She answers almost immediately.
"Can you come pick me up?" I say, shocking myself at how small and needy my voice is.
"Daisy.." I hear her voice choke out and I wonder if I interrupted something.
She wasn't... with someone was she? Even the thought of that made my stomach drop even though it shouldn't. What we have means nothing to her. It's just some fun for her.
"Please, Blair? I've been having nightmares and my mum won't even talk to me.." I say, not wanting to be alone for another second.
I hear a sigh from her end, "okay baby, I'll be there soon."
I throw on a pink jacket over my embarrassing pyjamas.
I knew I didn't have time to change because I knew it'd take me the time it takes her to get here to even get to the door.
Halfway there and I get a text from her to say she was here.
I finally reach the door, opening it.
"Hey doll, you ready?" Blair asks and kisses me on the cheek, causing my whole body to warm up instantly
"I'm more than ready." I say as I start to hobble out. Blair giggles at my sad attempt of moving and suddenly I'm off the ground in her arms.
