"Maybe we should go over there, see what she wants." Daisy says, taking me by surprise.
"You wanna come with me?"
"Of course I do, I wanna be your support system." She tells me, and my heart warms up as she gives me a gentle kiss.
We climb back into the front, and I start the drive to what used to be my home.
I take a deep breath before getting out, making my way to Daisy's door and opening it for her.
I walk inside, feeling extremely unsafe because of last time. I could smell booze and cigarette smoke, taking me back to when I was a kid.
"Blair?" I hear my mother call out, followed by rushed footsteps. She stops a small distance away from me, "Oh, I missed you." She says, her voice nearly cracking.
"Really? Last time I checked, Hanson kicked me out." I glare, crossing my arms. How could she say she missed me with everything that's happened?
"Sweetie, I didn't know until today. That's why I've been trying to call you." She says, but a small part of me didn't believe it.
"You didn't know? That's even worse. You never bothered to check up on me, never thought to ask if everything was okay at home with your dickhead of a boyfriend!" I scream, and I hear heavy footsteps, and sure enough it's him.
"What the fuck is going on in here?" He slurs, grabbing onto my mum for support.
"It's okay Hanson, you can go back to watching TV." My mother says, avoiding eye contact with him. She had a real bad fucking taste in men, he was just like my father.
"You let him kick me out Mum, you let him put his hands on me and you didn't fucking care. You didn't care about how much of a dick he was to me, you never bothered to fucking ask!" I yell, and I see his eyes turn dark.
"Are you going to let your bitch of a daughter talk about me this way, Victoria?" He practically screams, grabbing my mother's arm roughly.
I go to say something but i'm cut off by Daisy, "I'm sorry, what did you just call her?" she says, moving closer slowly.
"A bitch." He says, pretty much towering over her.
"Do not call my girlfriend that." Daisy says, catching me off guard.
"Oh, so she's a dyke too?" he spits, and my heart skips a beat as I watch Daisy's fist hit his cheek. My eyes immediately move to her just as he recovers, and his fist hits her in the eye. I feel my heart drop in my chest and it's like something else takes control.
"Don't you dare fucking touch her again." I scream, hitting him as hard as I can. I watch as he stumbles back, losing his footing and hitting his head on the end table. I look down at his body, noticing there was blood. I bite my lip, my gaze moving to my mother.
"This is all your fucking fault. If you had listened to me for once, you would've still had a daughter but you know what Victoria? You can go fuck yourself." I say, picking up Daisy off the floor. I look over my shoulder to see my mother completely in tears before storming out, putting Daisy into the passenger seat and then getting in myself.
I speed back to her house, pissed off and upset. I help her inside when we get there, sitting her on the bed.
"Are you okay?" I ask, crouching down to her level. I tuck some hair behind her ear, looking at her eye.
"Yeah, my head's throbbing though." She mumbles, wincing. I hold back a sigh, knowing she was hurt because of me once again.
"You're gonna have a nasty black eye tomorrow." I tell her, gently feeling around the area to make sure he didn't break anything. After a moment I conclude he didn't, my hand moving to hers.
