I take a seat across from the principles desk. I sit there for around half an hour before he comes in, slamming the door shut behind him.
"Ms.Morgan. Not a surprise to see you here." He comments as he takes a seat.
I scoff, "fuck off. Just tell me if I have detention or not." I say, rolling my eyes.
He sighs, "I was gonna go easy on you, but I don't appreciate your tone or attitude. Detention for two days."
"Are you fucking kidding me?"
"Three."
"You're all so fucking useless!" I practically scream.
"One week."
"Fuck you," I say, walking out before he can extend it any longer. Shane's pathetic little cunt of a friend was gonna pay for this.
It was like something just came over me as I shoved the cafeteria doors open, stomping over to where Shane and his asshole friends were sitting.
Before I know what I'm doing, I've got Bryan by the collar and I'm inches away from his face, "you weak ass fucking bitch. I got a week of detention because of you. I could fucking kill you with my bare hands." I say through clenched teeth, feeling nothing but absolute hatred for him.
I go to punch him, but someone shoves their way in between us, taking the hit.
My mood immediately switches up when I notice it's Daisy. My heart drops in my chest as I watch her clutch the side of her face.
"Shit, Daisy. Fuck, I'm so sorry." I quickly say, feeling so horrible.
"Come on, let's get out of here." She mutters, no one else hearing her.
"Daisy..." I follow behind her, biting my lip slightly.
I move so I'm close behind her, making sure she can't bolt when I question her.
"You throw a strong punch." She says, turning around to face me. I put both of my hands on either side of her, trapping her.
"Why'd you do that?" I ask softly. I don't know what it is about this girl, but there was something extraordinary about her.
"You were gonna hit him, I didn't want you to get into trouble." She mutters, her eyes moving from mine to the floor.
I move in closer to where I'm right against her, smirking slightly as I whisper in her ear, "why do you care?"
"Because... because I just do." She says, which sets off alarms in my head.
I chuckle dryly, "you shouldn't, I'm bad news."
She looks back into my eyes, and I've felt something I never have before, "I don't care. You helped me."
She wraps her arms around me, and for a second I actually let myself feel something as my arms wrap around her too.
"You helped me. Thank you." She mutters, her grip tightening.
"Thank you for trying to avoid me getting in more trouble. But what you did was stupid." I tell her, pulling away from the hug but keeping my hands on her shoulders.
"Yeah, I know." She says with a soft smile, I had no idea how she could still be smiling after that. I look at the fresh bruise starting to form on her adorable face, and the guilt seeps back in.
"Your cheek is dark purple," I say, and she immediately turns around to look in the mirror.
"Oh, crap. What's my mum gonna say?" She mutters, her eyes widening as she looks at the huge bruise.
