After about 20 minutes, I stop the car at the top of a hill. I remember when I first found this place, I was extremely upset and I somehow found comfort here.

"Woah..." I hear from the quiet girl, causing a smile to form.

"Beautiful, isn't it?"

"It is, how'd you find this place?" She asks, and I can feel her eyes on me.

I swallow hard, nervous to tell her, "Uh... Well, I got into a fight with my mum one day and I just kinda drove for hours and I took the wrong turn to go home and... I found myself up here."

"I don't really have a place. I do have one place but it's really hard to get to. We had just moved here and I was done packing and I was.. really upset so I just went exploring and found myself in this really nice place." She says, and suddenly I'm curious.

"Why'd you move here in the first place? I mean, there's really nothing here..." I trail off, wishing I could be anywhere else.

She looks at me with tears and pain in her eyes.

"Wait... You don't have to tell me." I say, not wanting to hurt her or resurface trauma.

"I was bullied at my old school, like.. badly. My best friend told everyone something about me and the bullying started and... One day the cornered me after school and held me down as they cut my hair to my shoulders so I looked more like a... something. Then they took me into the bathrooms and..." she stops, bursting into tears.

My heart shatters as I wipe away her tears, "What'd they do Daisy..."

"They started to hold me down into the toilets, they wouldn't let me breathe. My mum was really worried because I hadn't come home so she called the school and a teacher found us. The students all got suspended but Mum just pulled me out of school. Then I moved here and well... I guess things got better."

I bite my lip, wishing I could've been there to protect her. I mean, how fucked up do you have to be to hurt someone that much? Fuck, I made things worse for her when she got here too.

"It hasn't gotten better.. you still get bullied," I say, feeling awful.

She shrugs, "but it's not as bad. Blair, they did some really messed up things... Shane doesn't compare to that. Plus, the whole school was in on it."

"I'm sorry you ever had to deal with that baby... You never deserved any of that." I say, barely above a whisper as I look down at our hands. Our fingers are intertwined and it just feels so... right.

"It's okay... They had their reasons and they were right about the things they said and did..." She trails off. How could she say that? No one deserves that.

I don't know what to say, but a slow song comes on the radio. I get an idea, hoping it cheers her up.

I get out and walk around to her side, opening her door.

"What are you doing?" She slurs out.

"Asking a beautiful girl to dance with me?" I say, offering my hand to her.

She grabs onto my hand, and I gently pull her out of the car. My hands reach her waist and her arms dangle loosely around my neck.

"Don't follow me, you'll end up in my arms"

She starts stumbling, and I grab a hold of her tightly, keeping her up.

"Oh! I gotcha, let's sit down." I chuckle, leading her to the cliff so we can sit.

"I gotcha," I say, gently helping her to the ground.

She rests her head on my shoulder, "it's so... beautiful." She mumbles.
