“Feeling my way through the darkness, guided by a beating heart, I can’t tell where the journey will end, but I know where to start.
The beat of the song thumped through my head, breath in, breath out, one foot down, followed by the other. Slowly my pace started to quicken along with the song.
“So wake me up when it’s all over, when I’m wiser and I’m older, and this time I was finding myself, and I didn’t know I was lost.”
Walking was the best way to release all my pent up frustration. No one could annoy me or get in my way. My head was down as I concentrate on the path in front of me.
“Song paused”
Grrr you piece of shhh… Stopping I angrily pushed the buttons on my ipod and tried again.
“Song resumed”
Ok, off again. The sun started to beat down on my skin and I could feel my body temperature rising. Breath in, breath out.
“Wish that I could stay forever this young, not afraid to close my eyes, life’s game made for everyone and love is the prize”
Nothing seemed to be running through my mind, but the music. I ran across the road quickly to the safety of the next path, the incline of the hill starting to cause pain in my legs as they stretch out in long strides.
Thud
“Ouch… what the …"
