6 months later

Jessie and I were in America working part time jobs and living in a small flat. We would be tourist whenever we were off work and enjoy are time together. We had spent 2 amazing months in Africa and 3 months in Asia.

After 6 months in America we were packing up and preparing to head to Europe. We were going to travel Europe for about a month and then head home. The Hays had offered to help out in any way possible as they had many contacts in Europe. After almost a year after we left them we still kept in contact, may it be email or phone.

I was standing in our US flat while finishing up the dishes, when Jessie came over to me. He wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close to his body.

“Jane” Jessie raspy voice echoed in my ear.

“Jessie” I replied back as I held back my laughter as Jessie nuzzled his nose in my neck, tickling me.

‘Did you ever think this would be your life a few years ago?’

I thought back to the day I met Jessie, how I had held on to the image of his eyes to will myself to carry on, how I would look at photos of couples on Facebook and get jealous and hope to see a funny photo of a cat and how much of my life I had shared with Jessie and how much it had changed since then.

‘No, I never thought it would be this, good’ I replied back as I turned around to face Jessie and put my head onto his chest.

‘Me neither’ Jessie replied as he pecked me on my lips then my nose.

We flew to Europe the next morning. We had seen most of Europe when we had been with the Hays so we re-visited our favourite places and of course the Hays. We spent a week with them and stayed in the cottage. The kids had grown up a lot since we last saw them and I burst into happy tears the second I saw them.

Louis hair had grown over his eyes and he has shot up at least a foot in height. The twins were not so little anymore but they were still the same cheeky girls. Edward and Diane still looked the same but had a few grey hairs. We settled back in like we had never left and with the kids off school and Edward and Diane off work we were able to spend time catching up on what we had missed.

Louis had started year 10 at school and was doing well in all his classes, the twins has started year 7 at school and were going to the championships for cheerleading. Edward had moved to a bigger hospital and loved every minute and Diane had just opened her own law firm and was doing very well.

We promised to visit at least once a year as we said out goodbyes again to the Hays at the airport.

As always please comment below. Happy for good and bad comments. Thanks Munchkins :) Xx
