Running into Love

Chapter 8

"Jane, he is super cute"

"OMG go J"

"Woohoo"

"You are one lucky girl"

Comment after comment. All the office girls squealed in excitement, still smiling at me like cheshire cats. Ronald was still making jokes, now ones about what Jessie and I would get up to on our date, jokes I wouldn't want repeated. Daven was on his phone looking on Facebook to see if he could find out more about Jessie and muttering to himself about if Jessie laid one finger on me, what he was going to do to him.

I smiled to myself. Sometimes work wasn't enjoyable but at least the people I worked with where funny and they defiantly cared about me.

"Jane what are you going to wear on Friday? Do you know where you are going? We need to go shopping" Alix said all in one breath. Excitement passed over her face.

"Umm I don't know where we are going yet, but I guess I will have to go shopping after work on Thursday night."

"Done. You, me and Danni (Alix's sister and my best friend) are going shopping Thursday night, Ekkk this is going to be so fun" Alix said, again without taking a breath.

"It is going to be fun" I said, a smile creped on to my face.

"I am starting to get excited now" the smile on my face now grew bigger, adrenaline now pumped through my body.

Everyone went back to their desks, as we had now spent 30 minutes watching the footage of Jessie and I, while everyone gave there 2 cents worth. I sat down again in front of my computer, just staring at the blank screen. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and quickly hit Danni's number. It only took 2 rings for Danni to pick up.

"Hey whats going on?" her cheerful voice rang through the phone.

"Hey, umm can I meet you at the back door of the office in 5?"

"Yeah sure I'm walking there now"

I hit the end button on my phone and quickly yelled out to Alix that I would be back in 10 minutes. I ran down the stairs and out the front door, round to the back of the building to the offices back door, where I saw Danni standing.

Danni's mum had her own business just like my mum and she was working for her, and it just so happened that she was renting the bottom floor of the building my mum's office was in. 

 "Hey what's going on are you ok?" Danni asked, her face contorted in confusion as to why I had asked her to meet me.

"Hey umm yeah I am good, really good actually" a smile plastering itself on to my face once again.

"Ok then, what happened that is making you smile like the dam cheshire cat from alice in wonderland?"

God it was sometimes creepy how much Danni and I thought alike.

"Umm well I meet this guy, well I ran into him actually..."

I began to replay the whole story of how I met Jessie, what had happened this afternoon and how her and Alix where going to take me on Thursday to go shopping.

"Arrggghhh this is amazing J! I am so pumped for you! This couldn't have happened to a better person" Danni screamed as she pulled me close for a hug.

"Thanks Dan, I am pretty pumped". The grin on my face grew again, my face started to hurt, but that didn't stop me.
