After lunch I returned to work and finished off all the work I needed to do for the day, with 2 minutes of the day left to spare. I packed up my desk, grabbing my bag and heading to the parking lot behind the office.
“You wanna head to the main shopping centre in the city?” Danni asked me as we pull out of the parking lot and towards Alix’s house to pick her up.
“Yeah sounds good. There is a lot of stores there and we should have the best chance of finding something.” I replied as I tied my hair into a messy bun when we stopped at the traffic lights.
“Bring on the shopping” Danni said as she turns up the volume to the radio.
After 2 hours of shopping, and trying on easily more then 20 dresses, I was starting to believe that I was going to go to my date with Jessie in my birthday suit.
“Danni, how many more dresses do you have for me?” I asked as I hand her back the last one she had given to me, a bright pink number that looked like a bridesmaid dress.
“Just one more I promise, this is the one.” Danni’s hand passed through the curtain with a blue dress.
The dress was knee length, it sat on my body perfectly, hiding what I wanted and showing my best features, the thick straps laid perfectly on my shoulder, the sweet heart neck line revealing enough of my chest to be appropriate, a thick white ribbon wrapping around the waist into a bow at the back, making my waist seem small, with the back of the dress sat just above my bra line. I pulled back the curtain and walked towards the mirror.
“That’s it J. I told you I would find it.” Danni’s face popped up next to mine as she handed me a pair of matching blue heels with a white bow on the back.
“You defiantly found it Dan. Thank you.” I hugged Danni as Alix appears with a white ribbon, which she tied around my head leaving the ribbon to flow down my back.
“I think your ready for your date” Alix said as she looked at me with a proud mother look on her face.
“I think I am” I replied.
