I quickly walked into my mums office (she owns the company and is technically my boss)
“Mum”
“Mmmm yeh”
“Umm the guy I walked into the other day just came into the office and asked me out on a date.”
My mum raised her head from her computer and a massive smile appeared on her face.
“That’s amazing sweetie. Is he cute? Wait is he on camera? Oh my, quickly grab the girls we have to see what he looks like.”
Next thing I knew, I was standing next to Kristen, May (property manager), Alix (office manager), Daven and even the big boss Ronald, all of us watching as my mum was rewinding the camera to get to the beginning of the footage from when Jessie walked in.
Oh my god this was embarrassing. All the girls where grinning like the cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland, while Ronald was making inappropriate jokes and Daven asked me question after question about Jessie and what I knew about him.
“Whats his last name?” “How did he find you?” “What does he even do?” “Will I know him?”
“Daven, I don’t know his last name, he found me by recognizing the logo on my cap, I have no idea what he does, and I don’t know if you will know him, you probably will since you know everyone.”
“Oh ok, well I think I need to meet him first, just to check him out.”
“Woah calm down Daven, Jane can look after herself. You need to dial down the big brother act” Kristen said as she squeezed my hand with reassurance.
“Thank you” I mouthed to Kristen, as everyone set their eyes back to the screen as my mum had finally found the beginning of when Jessie had walked in.
