Running into Love

Chapter 26

The next 7 days seemed to drag out. Jessie and I did our best to text, call and skype but the time difference was making it very difficult. When I called Jessie it would be late at night but still daytime in England. When Jessie called me it would be daytime for him and late at night for me. We still did our best though, texting each other, sending selfies and knowing it would be a while till we received an answer back. 

 Finally the day arrived and I sat anxiously at the airport with the twins and Louis. Diane and Edward were working and so the kids were with me. They were excited to met Jessie and I even think Rose had a small crush on him. When I showed her a photo of us two she whispered that he was cute and I saw her face blush pink before she ran off to her room.

 “Beautiful” I heard Jessie call out as a group of people came out of departure gates. I ran as fast as my legs could carry me. We reached each other and I felt Jessie’s arms engulf me in a hug as I placed my lips on his. We pulled back and started walking back towards the kids.

“I missed you handsome” I said to Jessie as I leaned up again and placed a kiss on his cheek

“I missed you more beautiful” Jessie replied as he pecked my lips then my nose, as he always did. I felt my face blush just as we reached the twins and Louis.

The kids introduced themselves to Jessie and it seemed that they got along well. Louis at first seemed a bit protective of me, but once Jessie told him that he would be working in an auto shop here in England, everything seemed to change.

 As the limo drove us home Jessie and Louis spent the whole car ride talking about cars. The twins chatted away to me, as I played with Jessie’s hand. He squeezed my hand lightly as I leaned my head on his shoulder.

 We arrived home and the kids and I showed Jessie our cottage. We unpacked most of his stuff and went back to the main house. We were just finishing making cookies when Diane and Edward arrived home and I introduced them to Jessie.

“Its so lovely to meet you love” Diane said as she pulled Jessie in for a hug. Jessie sent me a ‘what the hell’ look and I just smiled and mouthed ‘this is what she does’. He smiled back and relaxed into the hug.

“So this is the famous Jessie” Edward said as he shook Jessie’s hand.

“Nice to finally meet you”

“Yes you too Mr Hays” Jessie said as he shook Edwards hand.

“No please call me Edward” he said as he grabbed Rose and slung her over his shoulder making her squeal.

“Edward, well thank you for letting me stay here with Jane, you too Diane, thank you” Jessie said as he wrapped his arm around my waist pulling me close to him.

“Your very welcome love, now I think we have an early dinner and send you off to bed, its been a long day” Diane said.

“Kids you want take away?” Edward said as he placed the laughing Rose down and grabbed Daisy to lift her into the air too.

“Yes!” the kids all shouted.

 We ended up having Chinese food and spent the next hour or so talking about Jessie and I’s plans. Jessie had prepared work in an auto shop close by, his Dad had a contact in England and had been able to find him work easy. I was planning on taking the kids out a few times during the week, as well as a few movie days in, as they didn’t go back to school for another month. After we cleaned up, Jessie and I said our goodnights as we headed to the cottage.

 “Wow, they are so nice” Jessie said as he opened the door for me.

“Yes I know, I couldn’t ask for a nicer family, they are willing to do anything for me” I replied as I pecked him on the cheek and walked to the bedroom.

“I’m so happy to be here beautiful” Jessie said as he pulled me into a hug and kissed my head.

I breathed in his cologne as I felt Jessie’s hands run up and down my back.

“Me too handsome, things couldn’t get any better” I said as we pulled apart and prepared for bed.

 Things were turning out better then I had hoped. Nothing could ruin my good mood right now.
