Running into Love

Chapter 17

“Hi I’m Jessie. I’m here for Jane” I heard Jessie’s voice bouncing down to me from the front of the house, the sound sending chills through my body, butterfly’s started to fly around in my stomach again.

“Hi I’m Danni, Jane’s best friend. Come in” I heard the thrill in Danni’s voice as a door shut.

“Hi. Nice to meet you.” Jessie’s voice flowed down to me again, his voice going up a decibel. 

“Nice to meet you too. Wait here ill get Jane” Danni’s voice rang out again. 

Breathe in, breathe out. You can do this Jane.

 “Jane he is gorgeous. Is it bad that I want to touch his biceps” Danni whispered to me as she flicked my hair back and checked my makeup.

 “Danni that is so wrong but I get what you mean” I let out a small laugh as I started walking out of my room towards the living room.

 I walked out to see Jessie dressed in dark blue jeans, a white button down shirt, a black blazer laying over his lap and his messy brown hair perfectly framing his face. His eyes meet mine as I walked towards him, a smile growing larger on his face and his dimples emerging. 

 “Hi” I said to Jessie as he stood up.

“Wow, hi, you look beautiful” Jessie cheeks started to flush red.

“Thanks, you too” I said to Jessie as I felt my face heat up.

Our eyes locked. His pupils growing larger as he sent me a wink, a smirk crossing his face.  

“cough, cough” Danni’s voice suddenly coming out of no where.

Shit I forgot she was here. Thank god my parent and brother weren’t here. I wasn’t quite ready for them to grill Jessie. 

Jessie cleared his throat and looked down at his shoes.

 “Umm ok lets go, bye Dan” I said grabbing Jessie’s hand and heading towards the front door.

“Have fun kiddies. Remember to be safe and use protection” Danni shouted out as I shut the door behind me.

 I was going to kill Danni for that comment when I got back. I could feel my face burning up as I took a look at Jessie, and his face was a bright red too.

“Sorry about that” I apologized to Jessie as he unlocked his car and opened the passenger door for me. 

“No, no need to apologize.” Jessie said as he looked at me again, his dimples now deeper then ever, as his smile grew in to a smirk as he winked at me again.

I smiled back at him and climbed into his car. He shut the door closed and I took in the inside of his car as Jessie made his way round the car to the driver’s side. There was a bottle of water in the drink holder, a bunch of coins underneath, a car freshener hanging off the steering wheel, making the car smells of vanilla and several CD’s shoved under the CD player, Justin Timberlake, Robin Thicke, Haim.

“I like your taste in music” I said to Jessie as he sat in the drivers seat and buckled his seat belt.

“Thanks, I prefer to listen to CD’s rather then the radio, it has too many ad’s” Jessie replied as he put his keys in the ignition and started up the car.

“Yeh I know what you mean, it’s the radio just get on with the music, I don’t care who can give me the best insurance or dental work” a chuckle left my mouth as I responded.

“Exactly. Hence why I love CD’s no ad’s just music.” Jessie chuckled as he pulled out of my driveway and headed towards the restaurant.

We made general conversation about are favourite artists, movies, TV shows, things to do and what we did that day as work. Jessie’s latest job, was working on a 69’ Mustang. We both chuckled about the 69’, it seemed we shared a dirty mind.

By the time we had started talking about Jessie’s favourite type of car to work on, we were pulling up to the restaurant. Jessie opened the door for me, offering his hand for stability.

“Thanks” I said as I took his hand, a spark flowing through my body. 

Again i am sorry for posting so late ... Please please please let me know what you think... i would love to know some one is reading my work... Thanks Munchkins... oh and if i do get a comment i am looking at writing another story and would love suggestions on what and even who... maybe a fanfic :) Xx
