Daisy and I stopped at the Pokémon Center so we could have our Pokémon restored and get some rest. We turned in for the night and woke up bright and early. I met Daisy in the lobby of the Pokémon Center and we walked outside. It was time for me to take on my next gym.

Saffron City was now in considerably better condition compared to yesterday. Many of the signs of battling in the streets had been cleared out. It seemed that most of the residents had returned to normal, unbothered by the recent attack.

We strolled down the street and over to the Saffron City Gym. The gym was located right next to the Fighting Dojo and had the flashy design of the other gym buildings. Compared to the wooden dojo it seemed even more glamorous.

We walked into the gym and I was immediately in awe with the design of the gym. The battlefield was a dark shade of pink and seemed to be glowing. The gym leader Sabrina was standing on a platform floating in the air.

Multiple platforms and pieces of furniture were also suspended in the air, making up the battlefield that the Pokémon used.

Sabrina was dressed in a red top, white pants, pink shoes, and had two giant bracelets on her wrists. Her hair was a dark shade of blue and it went down to her shoulders. She was currently engaged in a battle with another trainer, who was standing on a floating platform on the other side of the room.

The challenger had blue eyes and short, brown hair. I had some sort of sense that I had seen the guy before, but I couldn't place from where. The boy seemed to be a bit older than Daisy and I, maybe fifteen or sixteen. His blue eyes were fixated on the battlefield intently.

Standing on a wooden chair was a pink Pokémon. The tiny pink Pokémon had stubby limbs and a smile on its face as it stared down the opposing Pokémon. I didn't recognize the Pokémon, and when I scanned it my Poké Dex informed me that it was a Clefairy.

We made our way to the sidelines and watched the battle unfold. Sabrina was using her Alakazam. Alakazam was an incredibly powerful Psychic-Type Pokémon. The bipedal Pokémon held two spoons in its hands and stood tall against the foe. It had a golden body with a brown chest.

The boy shook his hands. "Clefairy, finish this with Meteor Mash!" His Pokémon's fist stared to glow with a silvery hue as it jumped across the furniture. Sabrina was slow to react, and her Pokémon was punched in the gut. Clefairy darted back while Alakazam crumpled over.

"Alakazam get up!" Sabrina ordered. Alakazam struggled to its feet for a moment but collapsed and fainted. Sabrina sighed and returned her Psychic-Type. Slowly the floating objects began to descend until they were returned to the ground.

Sabrina handed the trainer a badge and a disk. "Congratulations Bill, you have won the battle and earned my badge and this TM for Psychic yadda yadda yadda." The Gym Leader then went to a healing machine in the back of the room. She placed her Poké Ball onto the device and it was flooded with energy.

The boy, presumably Bill, pumped a fist into the air and returned his Pokémon. "Alright! Great work Clefairy! We've got some work to do in Celadon, then we can take on our next target!" His Pokémon jumped onto his shoulder, and then they raced out of the gym.

Wait a minute, I remember now! He's the guy who I saw messing with the PCs! I remembered.

I was about to sign this to Daisy, but Sabrina spoke up. "Hello trainers, welcome to the gym. I'm assuming you're here for a battle?" Sabrina asked. The woman's voice was extremely monotone, and she didn't seem very interested in the idea of a battle.

"Not both of us, just Red." Daisy corrected and I waved.

Sabrina strode over to her platform. "Whatever. Let's just get this over with. I didn't get any sleep after cleaning up the city but nope, still gotta have the gym open. Ref gets the day off though." She seemed to be incredibly irritated about the situation. I went to my end of the gym and waited.
