35 Demand For Songs

"We did it!" We both high fived one another and let out a chuckle.

After that record the director plus the other guys were complimenting us about our song and how much it matches the movie.

After the successful movie STARISH has been getting more fame than ever. This has incredibly boost their self-esteem and courage. Not that they didn't have any in the first place. Anyways.

The whole day after, I was stuck in my room and seriously started writing. I usually write because I felt like writing something ,but this time I needed to. I know it's all of sudden but a week ago Shining, my uncle told me to make songs not just any songs but songs that should make it in the Uta No Pri Award. It should be amazing, unique, ear-catching, and all those good things like Maji Love 1000%.  I had already made few inside my notebook and well, I just really felt like something was missing. Today I was going to his office to present him the songs that I made. I made like 7 or 8 pieces that seemed good to me.

I knocked on the door. "Uncle are you here?"

"Oh, come in Melody!" I hear Ringo call from the inside. "Good morning!"

"Good morning to you too Ringo, Hyuga." I let out a laugh and greeted them both. "Where is uncle?"

"He's busy but he'll come back real soon!" Ringo sat on the couch along with Hyuga and offered me to sit as well.

"Oh...How dare he. He didn't even tell me he would be late." I rolled my eyes and let out an exhausted sigh.

"Are you tired?" Hyuga asked.

"Very...It's really hard to come up with really good songs."

"I know it is. But knowing you, I know you'll make it." Hyuga patted my head.

"We can check your songs if you want." Ringo offered with a smile.

"I'd be grateful." I squint my eyes a bit and let out a yawn. I hand them over my notebook and notes.

I close my eyes for a while as they criticize my work. I know it's missing something. Maybe lacking in emotion, or tune or something. The fact that i don't know what's missing in my music makes me irritated as hell. It would be harder to give myself a satisfactory product, what more for Saotome?

"Hm...I don't know." Ringo rubbed her chin while looking at the ceiling, thinking.

"It definitely something else." Hyuga ran his hands through his hair. "It's lacking in something."

I knew it. Even they were able to see it.

"Aghhh! I knew something was missing!" I covered my face with the small couch pillow. "The fact that you two could even notice it means it must be crucial!" I cried out.

"Should we have not been honest?" I hear Hyuga whisper to Ringo.

"N-"

"No, it was right to be honest." I interrupted Ringo. "If you weren't honest I would never be able to improve. Though it hurts, it's for the best." I sigh sadly. "I wonder whats missing?"

"Maybe try to put more e-"

Ringo was cut off once again by the sudden close of the lights.

"Ugh..." I rolled my eyes and waited for my flashy uncle to arrive.

"Sorry for making you wait my nieceee!" He came down a curtain like thing all compressed into a rope. "Where are the songs that i have requesteddd?"

"It's here uncle." I take my noted from Ringo and gave it to him. I sat up on the couch and wait for him to judge it. Pretty sure he will reject it though.

He was walking around his office and plopped on his chair. Out of nowhere he suddenly grinned like a maniac. 

"Good!!! Make more of these and STARISH will rise!!!" He 'slapped' the papers on his desk still with a grin on. He doesn't look like he approved any of it at all!

"Uncle! Really? Your not even going to judge it?!" I slightly raised my voice. What could I do? I was getting mad.

"No need! You Melody are a sensational composer!" He posed with a peace sign. Hyuga and Ringo just shook their heads.

"So what?! I know my songs are lacking and I know you see that!" I banged the table making it shake. I was now face to face with him.

"The fact that you knowww, means you understand that you have something missing in your songs. I trust you enough to know that." He actually, genuinely smiled at patted my head. 

He was actually serious for once...

"Wow uncle. You said something reasonable for once." I mutter.

"SO THENNN GOOD BYE!" With that the lights turned on and my crazy uncle disappeared.

"Don't worry so much Melody!" Ringo hung his arm around my shoulder.

"He-EHEM She's right. You can always ask us or your senpai's." Hyuga stuttered.

"Your right." I let out a dejected sigh and took my papers with me. "Thanks for your encouragement guys." A yawn escaped my mouth. "Dammit. And I just woke up and all." Rolling my eyes I bid them goodbye and went outside the room.

While walking back to my room groggily I ran across Tokiya and Syo, an unusual combo. They quickly saw how sluggish I was walking and rushed up to me in concern.

"Melody are you feeling well?!" Syo shook my shoulders rather roughly.

"Are you unwell again?" Tokiya raised a brow and placed his hand on my forehead. I kept looking at him with squinted eyes. "You seem okay."

"I am okay." I gently pushed their hands away. "Just really exhausted." I let out another yawn. "Very."

"Do you want some coffee? I could ask the chefs to make you some!" Syo worriedly said.

"It's fine. I'd rather sleep. After all I don't have any job offers today so SLEEP!" I raised my fist to cheer myself up, even just a little bit. "Could you tell the others that I'd be passing out in today's activities?"

"Don't worry we'll tell them." Tokiya kissed my forehead.

"Get some good rest okay? After that movie I can tell we're both exhausted after a hard day's work." Syo grinned. "You deserve rest."

"Thanks so much Syo." I grinned back weakly. "Shining is making me do so much work. It's superrr tiring." I complained to them a bit.

"Don't worry about it too much. I'm sure you'll be able to do it." Tokiya patted my head. "And don't worry, we'll tell the others."

"Thanks so much." I mumble before leaving them to enjoy my comfortable bed.

Once I entered my room guess what I did. Right, I went straight to my bed, not before removing my bra, and enjoyed a full day's rest.
