Chapter 14

We drove in Damons car in silence until I broke it.

"Now I know why you hate the back seat..." I muttered, annoyed.  Its so friggin small back here, and there is nothing to do back here.  I looked at Aurora and she was looking out the window.

"Where are we going anyways?" She asked, not commenting to myself complaining.

"My house, we might as well get away from the fighting." Damon said, smirking in the mirror at me.

"Okay." Aurora and I both said at the same time.  

Damon reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone, Aurora watched him as he scrolled through his contacts.  

"Stalker much?" Damon asked, smirking.

"Bad driver much?" Aurora said as she pointed towards the building Damon almost ran into.  I couldn't help but feel a pit of jealously.

"Idiots much?" I muttered.

"Hey Stef, we're coming home.  Kai and Kol began fighting in the grill over Aurora.  Pretty entertaining if you have to ask me, but I had to get them home some how." He rolled his eyes as I listened on his and Stefans conversation.

"Alright, is Maya okay?" Stefan asked

"She's perfectly fine.  So aren't Aurora and - thanks for asking, brother.  You act like I can't protect her or something." Damon chuckled as he looked at me then Aurora.  He hung up and continued driving towards his house.

Damon, Aurora and I got out of the car and started walking towards the front door.

"Why would Stefan care about Maya?"I thought to myself

I continued walking, and opened the door to my house.

"Well, they are really good friends..." I thought.  I continued walking, not watching where I was going.

"Umm, Damon..." Aurora said, a hint of worry in her voice.

"Yeah?" I walked into the table that held my bourbon and bourbon glasses. The glasses and bourbon fell to the floor.  Glass and Bourbon was scattered across the floor.  

Stefan was downstairs in a second.

"Everyone okay?" He asked, worried.

"Oh, now you care" I said, shallow towards Stefan.

"Dammit those were my favorite glasses" I groaned, and bent down to pick up the glass. I stood back up, and turned.  Stefan shifted his eyes to Maya.

"Are you okay?" He rushed his words, truly worried.

"She is fine because I was there to help and you weren't" I growled under my breath.

"Please don't start this" Maya groaned.

"Well he is all 'something might have happened to Maya, but I will just wait until she gets here' instead of actually checking on her!" I exhaled, overly annoyed.

Aurora and Maya groaned, getting annoyed more and more by the second.

"Damon, why do you have to do this.  I was asking if she was okay" Stefan said softly.

"Yeah, if she was okay. You didn't asked about me, or Aurora" I pointed to Aurora, then towards myself.

"Damon," Maya groaned under her breath.

"I barley had enough to drink, I have to be as drunk as a skunk to listen to you two fight over Maya" Aurora blurted out.

"Fight over Maya?!" I raised my voice. "I love Maya, Stefan doesn't!" I started walking to the garbage can, and threw the glass out.  I turned on my vampire hearing to hear what they were saying about me.

"Hes had a difficult day" Maya said - sticking up for me.  I could hear her rub her head, either in annoyance or tiredness.

"Come on, you look tired. You can take a nap in my room if you would like" Stefan said softly, I almost couldn't hear him.  Great.  Stefan is in love with Maya.  

It is Elena and Kathryn all over again.

I groaned to myself, and thought for a moment about raising my voice.

But this time but this time I thought about something

I'm winning the girl no matter what I have to do.
